Chapter 15 : New Company

'' come out of there.. slowly "
The stranger announced, biting off the apple he was holding when he stood up from crouching down.

I needed a moment to look at him while jongin had already started moving slowly. As more of the boys kind appeard, taking our weapons.

He was tall, feet blending into a growing furr as he moved on his goat like feet over to the rest of his people while keeping an eye on us and munching of his apple.
Big horns peaking out at the top of his head.

'' it's a faun.. they're usually horrible fighters " jongin whispered to me as he turned his head slightly to make it seem like he was not. I felt his hand by my thigh, pulling the little dagger out I had saved there and not bothered to take off before we entered the water.

'' we dont mean any harm. We just came to clean ourselves. My apologies if we invaded your land " jongin apologized in a friendly matter after he helped me step out of the water aswell, keeping me behind him however as he bowed shortly in respect to the faun.

But the faun did not look so happy as he looked from jongin to me rather, throwing the rest of his apple away lazily '' we dont appreciate stinky wolves on our land "

I blinked irritated, and jongin spent me a little glance aswell before he huffed out a light chuckle.
'' I'm sorry there must be a misunderstanding-"
'' these are weapons made by wolves. The same weapons they had used when they killed dozens of my people.. you already got the land you wanted, but this pond belongs to us! " he was frowning angrily when he looked at me now again making me glare back irritated.

'' we're not wolves "jongin sighed, raising his hands when the faun painfully pulled jongins sword out. It made me cringe at how he tried to hold it up at him in a threatening matter.
'' what's with his eyes, then !"

I looked back at him confused. Wanting to ask what he meant but.. I could not.

It seemed like jongin was unsure of what to answer aswell when he dud not have one to give.
Neither did he have time to really think more of one ewhen another faun stepped foreward after sniffing the air. '' shit, he's a human "

In an instand we could see something flicker in the fauns eyes in front of us when he stepped back slightly.
It was not anger or disgust like we had gotten used to. It was fear.

'' w-what... what did you do to him ?" His eyes fell onto me catching me off guard.

Lost I turned to look between jongin and him several times before the blade was brought up closer to jongins neck. Another one pulled me away from him to their side catching me off guard and not giving me a chance to really struggle when they had held my hands behind my back and forced me to my knees.

'' Hey !" Jongin yelled angrily wanting to follow where they had pulled me to but he stopped when the blade came closer to his throat.

I was too confused to continue struggling or focus on fighting their gripp on me of as I realized that the 2 fauns who held me back where almost seeming to do that in a protective matter.

'' i asked what you did to him !?"
Jongin was speechless but frowned fearlessly back at him none the less.

'' you dont know what you're talking about, look we're not looking for trouble. We didnt know the pond belonged to you, we'll be on our way and no one has to get hurt" yet he kept his glare and the blade still, probably thinking of what to do next when a woman now started examining me. Lifting my head and looking over my eyes.
