Chapter 7 : A Deal

'' ah, kyungsoo " the alpha smiled as I walked toward her but it still felt a little uncomfortable to see so I stopped with a good distance between us. '' did you just wake up ? Its still early.. the sun hasn't even risen fully. "

'' I have a.. r-request " I swallowed shifting in my stance as I looked at the pack member beside her, looking at me wearily. I did not want to ask her for permission it felt embarrassing to acknowledge that she was in a higher position than me but it was her pack and she was the more powerful one considering the conditions in this moment. I was just a guest I needed to be polite if i wanted it or not.

Her pack member turned away to leave after she had given him a hand sign before raising an eyebrow at me.
'' yes ?"

'' I would like to get my weapons back.. or what was left of it anyway. Jongin will get his sword aswell "

She pursed her lips looking down before back up at me unsure. I could tell she had expected me to request something else and it made me frown when It almost seemed as if she was disappointed that it wasnt what she thought it was. '' well.. unfortunately that is a bit of an impossible request. My pack doesnt trust your group of .. of humans yet and frankly I do not either."

Her answer displeased me and I did not try by any bits to hide the fact that it did when I almost ended up glaring at her instead '' your daughter was the one who brought us here why would we do anything to your people? Jongin also made it clear that we have no interest in you we will be on our way as soon as we can "

She sighed again folding her arms when she looked up at another pack member who had watched us along with a few others so I looked slightly over to them aswell.
'' everyone is armed here, do you think me and my people are stupid enough to attack and get ourselves killed ? "

She glanced Back down to meet my eyes. Serious at first before a slight smirk formed on her lips as she stepped even closer.

'' very well.. How about a deal " she pointed at my chest with one finger.
'' I'll give you your weapons back and provide you and your cute little group with new ones.
In return you'll do something for me "

My frown hardened and she folded her arms suspicious over her chest pressing her lips together as I shifted uncomfortably when she hadnt continued on her own so I pushed
'' which is ?"

'' oh .. just a little something, the warlock I'll be sending you to, they have something that belongs to me"
The way the tone in her voice had slightly shifted made me believe it was something that was important to her.

For some reason it made me want to get it all the more once I concluded that.
'' it's a talisman. One side has the sun carved into it.. " she paused, looking more serious now as she met my eyes '' the other the moon, my brother had given it to me.. therefore it is very dear to me "

'' why would a warlock steal that ?"
I questioned irritated. I was not trying to disrespect her brother or her evident grief but it seemed like there was more to it and I was not interested in starting more trouble than we already had.

'' warlocks live for thousands of years, kyungsoo. This talisman is one of a kind and beautiful at that, to a warlock these unique little treasures mean more than any gold on this world " she glared to herself
'' but even then it will always be the most precious to me, you will get all the weapons you need but bring it back "
