Chapter 23 : A Plan In Sight

I exhaled shakingly when jongin came to a stop, he was carrying me again even when I signed him I could walk. It must have made him feel uneasy because I had been bleeding quite a lot from my chest it must have looked worse than it was.

My eyes looked over his shoulder to see yixing watching us with an intense stare that showed his dislike as chanyeol steadied him with an arm around his shoulders. I chose to throw the dagger at yixing because I cared more about chanyeol and because I knew wolves heal better and faster than human.

It was a moment that I didnt have to think twice about making the choice.
It made me realize just again that I could not be his mate. If I was it would have been a different choice.
No matter the consequences because if it was jongin, I would have chosen him over anyone.

'' sit him down by the table,
I would've cleaned up if I knew I'd expect such dirty visitors " baekhyun explained the last part with a mutter as we entered the house and I spotted chanyeol roll his eyes as he sat yixing down onto a chair.

Jongin moved to another one aswell, carefully putting me down onto it.
I exchanged a brief glance with him but he swallowed looking away and breaking it before me.so i averted my eyes aswell.

'' how did you find us ?" He asked baekhyn as he was still standing, watching the warlock step over with a cloth and a bowl, waiting a moment until I have made myself shirtless again.

I winced as baekhyun bought the cloth onto the skin of my chest to clean the gash.
'' how could I not, you guys just like to cause chaos wherever you go dont you "

'' what ?" Jongin questioned in return as he took a seat aswell, an arm on the table as he watched him closely and I spotted baekhyun almost glare to himself making me wonder if he was serious for once.

'' I just returned from my vacation into another reality and what happened !? My house is a wreck !" He pointed the bloody cloth at jongin , who blinked at it irritated.
'' the castle guards where all over the place " he whined sniffing to himself '' I had to act like a human, who was lost. It was horrible.. the worst thing I've ever done "

I frowned at his ridiculous drama and jongin sighed at that whipping over his forehead with he back of his hand.
i looked onto his palm at that as i saw that he had bleed quite the amount himself. From holding the sword away. His hands must be a mess.. yet he carried me and sat there like it was nothing.
'' why were the castle guards there?"

'' oh yeah, they're looking for you "
He concluded '' that crazy elf girl and her new best friend.. " he snapped looking at me as he was trying to recall a name.

'' sungyuri.. "
Jongin finished for him and he nodded patting his shoulder.
'' that's right, that creepy lady. "

'' why would they destroy your home if they were looking for us "

" I told you she was at my place before, shes probably peeing her herself scared about me blathering on her secrets to you guys "
He snickered and my frown hardened as he mindlessly turned to the side smashing some plants together to a cream like hed done before.

'' what secrets ?" Chanyeol suddenly spoke up from the back.

'' oh you know, her plans about taking over the world that she thought had failed but now.. looks like shes on the right track afterall"
He shrugg his shoulders starting to apply the cream. I stopped his hand by grabbing onto his wrist while I frowned hard into his eyes.
'' what ?.. isnt it always the same ? What's with people wanting to rule over everything.. it just sounds exhausting "
