Chapter 3 : I'd be sad

'' stop moving " I ordered frustrated when I got back down besides that stupid servant who just wouldnt listen.

My eyes drifted to his leg stuck between 2 rocks that collapsed as soon as we fell down here.

I whiped over my eye and cheek to remove the dirt and blood to see better. '' jongin said they will find a way here and help us "

He looked up at me exhaling harshly in pain '' m-maybe you should look for a way out for you in case they won't make it in time "

'' they will !" I immediately spoke agaisnt his suggestion with a fierce expression.

The grounds vibrated again and he grunted in pain while I leaned over him to shield him from falling stones and dirt. '' ju-st have a look a-around ok "

I breath through a couple of times when I leaned away from him looking around us to see what I already saw no way out. Though we had big space it was completely isolated and the more the grounds vibrated the more stones and earth seemed to move to make it worse.

My eyes drifted downward to him having his closed now, breathing a little calmer. It brought horrible memories of the day I thought I lost jongin forever back to me.

I reacted almost instandly moving his head to lay on my lap as i gently slapped his cheeks to stay awake.
'' do not fall asleep and die on me "

'' a-another one giving orders, I'm doomed to live this life " he mumbled opening his eyes lazily.
Making me frown at him when I did not understand what he meant by that with this tone in his voice.
'' shut up and stay alive "

Finally he was quiet at that and I watched him seem a bit more present almost as if my warnings worked before I ended up looking around briefly again hoping they would come rushing through from somewhere at any moment..

but it was quiet.

Well quiet except for the now and then still shaking grounds making everything look like it was ready to collapse into us.

Yet even the crashing noises and effects seemed to have gone calmed little by little and I wondered if it actually got better of I had just gotten used to it.

And more time went by getting quieter and quieter.
Maybe it was slowly fading away the more I realized this could be the end already.

'' you know .. I-I've always .. wondered " he started again after what felt like decades past of me listening closely to hear any call or responses. '' what really happened back then "

'' what ?" I frowned confused and he sighed in pain trying to adjust himself but I held him still to remain with his head in my lap.
'' you and jongin met when you were both kids .. he told me what he remembered happening now but .."

I looked down at the memories still seeming fresh enough to cause pain in my chest. Maybe it was not just because of what happened that day but also of what it had caused. That day haunted me till now because everything that happened so far was the result of back then.

'' my .. mother, she was in love with jongins uncle.. your king. They had an affair for a long time, behind my fathers back and behind your peoples knowing " he looked at me hesitant but I only sighed deeply '' my father has always been a cruel man. Everyone knew that.. she did.
But he was the leader.. he was the hero so it did not matter. I thought for a long time it was ok.. because he was great
