𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝘆 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹

YELLOW: Episode 2.3

The next day was restless as yesterday.

More students arrived from 'accidental' injuries in the infirmary and they all had the same explanation which was frustrating the ravenette. And the big problem was that she recognized all of them as participants in the tournament.

Guess she kind of jinxed herself in the meeting with the dorm leaders.

Mayumi was currently in the infirmary with Grim clinging onto her as she made more medicine since most of the potions were used on the injured. 

Previously, there was no more medicine in the medical cabinet so the girl would have had to go search for more plants, herbs, and materials from Sam which would have taken hours. But the good thing is that Vil had stopped by the infirmary to drop off more needed supplies which the girl was very grateful for. 

"Miss Kocho! I figured you would be here. I went over to your dorm and you were not there. I'm glad to see you here caring for the students!" Crowley announced, appearing behind the ravenette and knocking down some of her paperwork.

"What do you want?" Grim yelled, bored out of his mind since all he's been doing was watching Mayumi brew potions.

"I have a request."

Mayumi and Grim both raised a brow. "What's it about? I'm not your handyman anymore. And Mayumi is already busy with enough work, y'know. Give her a break." Grim says with his arms crossed as the ravenette picked up the papers from the floor that Crowley didn't even bother getting after he dropped them.

"Oh? I don't remember saying anything about your room and board being free of charge. Labour is a beautiful thing, right?" Crowley mentioned with a hidden smirk. 

Grim furrowed his brows, mad he's now stuck working for the Headmaster.

"If I recall, I am paying the bills for the dorm and the food along with other essentials. So if it's a request you want us to fulfill, give me a raise." Mayumi bluntly orders.

Crowley stutters, sweating at her words. "A-Ahhh.... A raise you say...umm.."

"If you don't want to do such a gracious thing, that's fine. Just go look for someone else. I have other things to do." The ravenette said as she got back to her potions, ignoring the headmaster's presence.

"You heard her!" Grim smirked.

"....I suppose... I could squeeze in some donations."

"Great! So what is it that you would like us to do, Headmaster?" Mayumi presented her Kocho smile, radiating intimidation.

Crowley sweatdrops. The ravenette kind of scared him. "Ahem. I'll get straight to the point. I'm sure you are aware of the increasing number of students injured in suspicious accidents. I'd like to have you investigate them."

'.....Are you gonna tell him?'

'No. He might not give me my raise.'

"Injures? Is that what has been keeping Mayumi busy?" Grim asked.

"Yes. Tripping down the stairs, burned by boiling water...The cases vary but in the past several days the number of patients in the infirmary has dramatically increased based on Miss Kocho's reports. The person who fell down the stairs yesterday makes that ten injured people. I'm glad none have been severe but..."

"Aren't they all just clumsy?" Grim voiced.

"From what I've seen, no." Mayumi commented.

"The whole school is giddy for the approaching magical shifts tournament, that's true. Even still, there are too many people getting hurt if you look at past years. On top of that, those injured in these accidents were all in the running to be starting members for their dorm's team." Crowley informed.
