Silence.

The doors suddenly opened as a scratching sound was heard, as if Wilbur was turning on his ear piece again, the electronics being slightly damaged. Port Karl would have to fix that-

"Should be open, we were having some technical difficulties but should be good now." You could hear Nikki laugh to herself "Yup, very 'technical' issues."

"Right.." George didn't waste any time, already starting to connect things to his laptop as he began to run programs. The security in this place sure was advanced, taking George long to do anything, but it wasn't unbeatable. He had been preparing for a while, getting as much information as possible from the Manberg base.

"Come on, come on, come on..." George pleaded quietly as he looked at the door. The loading bar sure was taking its sweet time, the time he didn't have right now. He would have to download a lot of the files, this wouldn't take a second and knowing how things usually went, soon enough they will catch on that somethings wrong.

The metal door opened with a hiss as George stumbled inside, immediately scanning for what he had to get. God there was so much- not only were a lot of the information and files encrypted, there were way to many to count or to even categorise. But that wasn't an issue for George as he began to download things onto a memory stick.

"This years files are the one Philza needs. Taking them all will take tooooo long-" he could hear Karl say dramatically over the ear piece. "Let's just hope they don't catch on quickly"

"Yeah- lets hope" he responded quickly, eyes still scanning the monitors.

That was actually helpful, a lot less to have to categorise and take down. He waited impatiently for the files to copy and download, looking back at the open doors from time to time to make sure he was safe. What bugged George was how easy it was to get in... sure he had Wilbur and Nikki do a lot of the work, not to mention Callahan who had a lot of the intel and told him what to get from where, but for such a greatly spoken about mafia, this was far from what he expected.

'Talk too highly of themselves" George mumbled to himself, a little scoff leaving his lips.

"ALARM! ALARM! CODE RED! ALARM! ALARM! CODE RED! ALARM! ALARM!"

Well... there went his luck- of course as soon as he mentions it something has to go wrong- I mean, why wouldn't it?

George practically begged for the download line to move faster as he heard Wilbur yell in his ear.

"404, Evacuate! We are done here! We got what we need! Meet you back at base!"

"Got it-"

He put up his blue hood as he waited for the file to finish downloading. He could hear the hum of people in the corridor, heavy footsteps, their voices getting closer and closer...

*download complete*

With that, George snatched the USB drive and bolted it out of the room, not looking behind nor making sure that he was being as sly as possible. Right now all that mattered was that he would get out safely and see the others back at base. He had what they all risked their lives for, getting caught would be such a disappointment and all that hard work would go to waste. He wouldn't allow that.

He could hear the angry yelling behind him as he ran down the stairs, jumping down the bottom four stone steps to go faster. It helped since he was back in the corridor he had entered from within a minute. This was perfect...

Or so he thought until he felt his body slam into another much larger one. It was hard as George stumbled back, his hood falling off and his glasses sliding down his nose slightly. He grunted as he got his balance back, looking at what he had walked into. And there stood a man, much taller than he was, a white mask with a simple smiley face drawn over it. They stood there, looking at him in silence. Or so George thought, he couldn't really see any physical features since the mask was covering them. They had dirty blonde hair which stood out nicely to the green outfit he was wearing. Was it green? It looked more like a yellow than green- George didn't have time to think about that though, not right now. They took a step back, George soon realising it being to grab a knife from their inner arm.

"Fuck-"

Is all George had time to say before the man started to run at him, knife in his hand. George was in no mood to negotiate or to risk his life. This must be one of Schlatts hitmen, he wasn't wearing a suit like the other guards and seemed awfully skilled. They were silent and stood tall, seeming like a brick wall that you couldn't just merely push down. He almost reminded George of Technoblade, a highly skilled hitman in his own organisation.

The man seemed to flow with the knife, George barley dodging the attack as he continued to run. This is why he wished he had trained more physically, he only knew some basics which would definitely not help him right now. If Wilbur or Nikki were in his spot, they would have probably knew how to at least save themselves with a fight while George here knew that the only way of surviving was running. He wasn't one to look for a fight either ways, he has what they wanted so he didn't need to cause more ruckus.

He ran, climbing back out the way he came, quickly turning down the street and going in between alleyways, taking a breather before putting on his backpack properly and jogging back.

He smirked to himself  "stupid hitmen".
