George had fallen asleep earlier than usual that night, his body feeling exhausted from everything that had happened that day. His body struggled to find comfort as every time he moved under the soft sheets his body reminded him of his mistake of talking back.
He had given up with trying to rest a couple of times, turning to his side to get up but being stopped by Dream each time; telling him that he should rest while he can. Eventually George stopped trying to get up, turning back on his side and desperately tried to rest. He could see the concern and calmness on Dreams face now as the other didn't wear his mask any more around him, the others delicate features staring back at him, reminding him that everything was alright. It was still surprising to George...
He really did trust him.
He still couldn't comprehend why though.
The other must have thought he was asleep as Sapnap walked into to the room in a rush. George was too tired to turn around so he just simply lay there, listening to the frantic ravenette beg his friend to take his things and go hide somewhere with George. It was hard to listen too, George never heard him so panicked and scared. Why was he so scared through...
"Dream please! You two need to go somewhere, you don't know what Schlatt could do now!"
"Shhh, you'll wake up George..." Dream whispered, calming his friend down as George silently listened to the two.
"You said you would protect him, you won't let anyone do anything to him" He wasn't sure if the male was tearing up, his voice sounding slightly higher as if he was trying to hold tears back.
"It's alright Pandas... he is safe, okay? I'm here to make sure he is alright. Lets not get too stressed for no reason okay? Calm down"
The two exchanged a couple more words that were harder for George to catch however he remained still as he closed his eyes. What were they talking about... what could have made Sapnap so worried to the point he ran to tell them to run away. He knew that wasn't possible. He wasn't able to walk out of this place.
He would be killed.
Dream soon after.
He didn't stand a chance either ways. He didn't have where to go, nor a family to protect him. He only had Dream and Sapnap.
He only had them two...
Once Sapnap left, he could hear Dream let out a long and exhausted sigh, sitting down and humming softly to himself. If not Dream, he could have still been in that room. He could have been dead by now. He wouldn't know any combat, he wouldn't have known Sapnap. He wouldn't have been able to joke and laugh with them.
He slowly sat up and looked over at the other male, his head held low, eyes closed.
George smiled to himself as he quietly got out of the bed he lay in, walking up to Dream and ruffling his dirty blonde waves.
This startled the other slightly, his worried expression appearing rather quickly as George assured him that he was alright. In all honesty, he just couldn't bare lay in bed longer. His body did ache, but if he ignored it for long enough then he would be alright.
"Did Sapnap wake you up..?" He questioned as he looked up, his eyes meeting Georges.
George shook his head no as he sat down on the floor in front of dream, legs crossed as he held his hands together. "He sounded startled though... did you tell him a scary story again" he joked, though he knew that right now wasn't the best of times to be doing that.
Dream smiled "heh, no, not this time. You don't need to worry about it though. He will be alright. All of us will be."
'All of us will be...'
