(The song above is called The Merry Go Round of Life by Joe Hisaishi. I love it so much. You can start it now if you want to, but I will also tell you a recommended time to start playing the song.)
That Friday was the party held for my return. I had to pretend to know everyone and everything about my previous life. Do you want to know what else was annoying? Blue had somehow teleported himself to me and I couldn't figure out how. Lady Palutena and Viridi swore it wasn't them, so I had to keep a close eye on him. Pandora had let me borrow a dress of her's that really stood out. She said that I was always jealous of it in my last life and told me that I could keep it.
The entire night was spent with me meeting different gods and goddesses that were on the side of the underworld. To be honest, it wasn't that bad. Sure, most of them looked intimidating, but Pit and Palutena talked to me privately using the laurel crowns the whole time to advise me on what to say.
When I walked through the doors to the throne room where I had met Hades earlier that week, it was filled to the brim with gods everywhere. Blue walked next to me with a little bow tie that matched my dress. The sad thing was, this party was an excuse to ambush the underworld while Hades was distracted. I get invited to a party for the first time only for it to get ambushed. Typical bad luck. I just had to hope I would be in Skyworld that night. Even if was at a party for me, being sounded by all the evil in the world was pretty terrifying. I had to wait for now.
"BESTIE!" Pandora ran over and hugged me. "This party is the bomb!"
"Well thanks for throwing it, BESTIE!" I shouted back.
"Atë, I have someone I'd like to introduce," Hades walked over to me and Pandora. A boy that looked my age was with him. "This is Ichor. He was at your execution in your last life, but he didn't have a chance to say hi."
"Pleasure to finally meet you, Ms. Atë," he bowed and I slightly blushed at his formality. "I am Ichor, the god of blood." His blood-red eyes, black hair, and pale skin made him look like a vampire out of an anime. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Pandora looked at me and then at Ichor, and then back at me. Her face seemed to light up as she grabbed my arm and rushed me to the other side of the room. "We'll be right back!"
"Pandora, what the heck?" I whisper yelled.
"I haven't seen you that flustered since you met a hot guy in your last life! Do I need to pull a devil's cupid?" I assumed that meant she wanted to hook me up with the god of blood.
"Black cats are bad luck," I said, refusing to him as a cat due to his hair color. "But go ahead."
"Alright, wait here!" she squealed and ran to get me a date. I petted Blue who hadn't wandered off somehow.
'Wait, did you just let Pandora hook you up with the god of blood?" I heard Pit talk to me through his laurel crown. He seemed a little panicked.
'I have to play the part and be chaotic, Pit. It's not like we're going to start dating," I reassured the angel.
'Good, because he'll be dead after tonight,' Dark Pit joined.
'I thought we established that you didn't care,' I sassed Pitoo.
'Well, he's dead, your date or not," Dark Pit stated. 'I'm just saying that you shouldn't go get your hopes up.'
"Atë, Atë!" Pandora ran over to me. "He wants to dance with you! Get over there, girl!"
'WHAT?' Pit and Dark Pit shouted at the same time, causing me to flinch. I walked over to my newfound date as the light dimmed and a new song started. Pandora picked up Blue so he wouldn't get in the way of me and Ichor.
(This is the recommended time to play the song. <3)
The god of blood took me by the hands and we started the waltz. At first, it was a slow, soothing tune like a lullaby. Then it sped up a bit and the music got even louder. Ichor and I spun around the dance floor as the angels tried to distract me from a good time using the power of the laurel crowns.
The goddesses (Viridi and the forces of nature were in on the plan as well.) laughed in their faces, but I paid them no mind. I tried my best to stay in the moment and not think about how my party was going to crash in approximately a few minutes at most. I chatted with the god who acted more like a proper prince than anything. With the way Hades and Pandora acted, I found it a tiny bit shocking.
'Here we come (Y/n)!' Pit caught my attention right before a large crash. A large piece of the ceiling fell above the god and me before he pushed me out of the way.
"Come Ms. Atë, I must hide you," Ichor extended his hand and rushed me to safety in another room.
'Hey guys, don't worry about me, but I have to escape with Ichor in order not to blow my cover. Plus this keeps the bad luck away from the fight,' I explained to the group through my laurel crown. Blue came over to me and Ichor to escape as well. The castle of Hades started to collapse, or that's what it sounded like. Pit and Dark Pit must have been fighting hard for me. The thought of it made me blush.
Ichor found an exit and left me to fight. I had told him that I wasn't very good at using my powers while we were dancing, so he knew that I wasn't good in a fight like this. I watched as the castle started to fall and I heard the war cries of gods and goddesses in the midst of battle. The music was gone, but the tune still rang in my head. I sat on the ground. This was the worst party I had ever been to.
(AN: Now it's time for everyone's favorite part: The Dream Dating Simulator! Choose your angel and get ready for a fluff-filled fever dream! The theme this time is poor boy/prince. It's just like last time, if you want Pit, skip the chapter after next. It's the opposite with Dark Pit. I am SO excited to write this for you guys!")
