Chapter 17: The Zoo
Blake's POV (point of view)

It's Tuesday 17th of December of 2019.
Today is the day that we'll be going to the zoo to learn about ecology. Science wasn't my thing.
I didn't really care about learning ecology but I only wanted to go there to see all the animals.
My favourite animal is the Tiger.
I always like them because of their colours and their loud roar.

My little brother Kai... would always have this teddy when he was little. It was a tiger. He would called this teddy 'David the Tiger'.
I know, weird coincidence right?

I've been planing to tell David the truth that I like him so much when we're at the zoo.
That might be a bad idea.
My Dad had confessed to my Mom that he loves her so much, if I confess to David then maybe it might work?

I started to have many ideas running through my head that David has a girlfriend or something since there was rumours about 'David having a girlfriend' told by James around the school.

I know that David is cutie and I know that he is one of those nice lads in the school where you just wanna be friends with but...

Why!? Why does it have to be him thought?

Knock, Knock!!!
Somebody knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's just me Blake. I need to use the bathroom!"
I recognise that it's Kai's voice.

I've been talking to myself too long that I didn't realise that I'm in the bathroom.
"Just a sec!" I yelled at Kai who was behind the door.
"Argh" He said quietly.

It didn't take that long for me to leave the bathroom.
I opened the door.
"Finally Blake"
Kai rushed pass me to get inside the toilet.

I walked over to my bedroom and put on my clothes.
Thank God the teachers say that we don't have to wear our uniform for this trip today.
Ding!!!
My phone made a simple ding sound.
I grab my phone that was near the lamp.

It was a text message from Jacob.

"Morning Blake 👋"
I texted Jacob back.
"Morning Jacob"
"U ready?"
"I'm ready! What about u?" I messaged.
"Always ready 😎" he replied back.
"Good. Anyways see you at school"
"You too bro"
We stopped texting.

I was wearing my hoodie, the same hoodie that I got from last Christmas, my blue jeans, a white shirt and dark blue Nike shoes.
"Looking good Blake" I said to myself in the mirror.
This was awkward.
"Thank God nobody heard me say that" I whispered to myself.

I picked up my schoolbag and carried my bag on my shoulders.
I was ready to leave the house.
I quickly ran downstairs to the front door and open it.
"Bye Blake!" It was my Dad, calling me from the kitchen.
"Bye!!!" I shouted and closed the door in a hurry.

My Mom was on work so I had to walk to school and back home a lot more often.
I never get to say this but I love walking.
It's really nice to get the fresh air, see all the clouds and all the greens around you.
At least the weather is good for now to walk in.

The school wasn't very far from my house.
It took an average of 20-25 minutes to reach the school.
As I finally climb up the large hill where my school is, I saw three big white buses parked next to my school.
It didn't take that long for me to get inside the school.
