Chapter 7 The test (D's & B's POV)

Chapter 7: The test
David's POV (point of view)

So we're back to school.The long break felt kinda short.
Its now 2019 January and it's still very cold.Winter here is a bit longer.
I took the bus from my house which will be bringing me to my school.I had to take the bus cause my Mom had work.
The bus stopped at the end of the hill.I got off the bus and walked upwards on this large hill where my school is located at.I panted hard while walking.
I saw my best friends Finn, Peter and Max walking towards the school entrance together.I also saw Blake and Jacob together walking towards the other entrance.There are three entrances of the school.One at the front of the school, one at the left side of the school and one on the right side of the school.
I do like my school very much in fact that I made some new friends like Mohammad, Blake, John, Callum and Liam during those four months of school from September last year to this very day.

I passed the school gates and when inside the front door of the school building.I walked down at the end of the hallway to see my friends and classmate in the area.Jacob and Blake went passed by me in a hurry.
"Hi" I said to both of them.
"Hey" I heard Blake said as he left the area.
Blake would always leave in a hurry when I arrive in the locker area.Blake was that type of guy where he doesn't want to get late for class same goes for Jacob.I didn't really like Jacob that much.Jacob is okay, he's nice and kind but he can sometimes be very quiet to the people he talks to.I guess that Jacob and Blake are old friends that they are very close to each other.

I walked over to my own locker, turn the combination left and right to unlock and pull the small locker door fully open.
I opened my bag and grabbed the books I needed.John approach me.John is another classmate of mine in my class.
"Hi David" John said
"Hey John" I said
"How are you David" I asked
"I'm good.What about you?" I answered back.
"I'm fine.Thanks for asking.So hey did you hear we have to do a beep test" he told
"Oh yeah I forgot.That's on Friday right?" I said to him
"Yeah.So we have to get ready for that"
A beep test is a test.Its a test to see how fast a person can run, twenty meters forward and twenty back.God I really hate beep tests.It's so exhausting.
Good that today was Monday tho.

The first class of the day was maths, then computers and history classes.Later it was a small lunch break, then Tech-graph, French and science.
Maths was grand.Ms O Shea taught us more algebra.Computers was so hard that we had to do some online tests and History was good.We learned about the Medieval Age about how the people in that time lived back in those days.
Lunch was good.I sat down with my three best friends in the yard.We talked about today, jokes and others.I had an apple for lunch and I had to take a piss in the toilet before class.Its kinda annoying that you cannot go to the toilet between classes.You would have to wait 2hrs for the classes to end until another lunch break happens.

After lunch yeah I had tech-graph, French and science.If y'all wondering what is tech-graph ?, its basically drawing 3-D shapes on paper or on a computer.Tech-graph is fun and cool.I would've picked Art and I would've been with Max, Mohammad and Blake in their art class but I think tech-graph is much easier in my opinion.
French was next and we learned about the weather and seasons in French and for Science we learned about measuring on beakers with water.I like French and I think I'm really good at it same goes for Maths.
It was lunch break again after 2hrs of classes.

I went out with Max for lunch and we went to another store which was different from the one Blake brought me.It was really embarrassing for what had happened in that store.I didn't want Blake to pay for that wrap because I didn't want him to spend his money on my wrap.But Anyways that was a month ago.
I bought my lunch with my own money and myself and Max left the store while eating our foods going back to the school.Once we arrive, I saw Blake and Jacob walking back in the same time.
Blake waved at me and I waved at him back.
When lunch break had ended again.I had three more classes until school is finished.Those last three classes where English, civil social political education (CSPE) and business.
For English we had to draw a book cover for a novel we read at class.The English teacher said 'Today we are doing a contest.Whoever makes the best cover for this novel will get no homework from me today'.I was so desperate to get it since I have lots of homework.

I took out my pencils and colours from my pencil case and started drawing.
The teacher told us that the book cover should be filled with colours, characters and words.I wasn't a very good artist.
Mohammad, Max and Blake were the only best artists in the class.
I peeked behind to see Blake's drawing since he sits right behind me.Blake's drawing looks amazing.Blake is amazingly talented.I didn't know as I was looking at his drawing, I dropped my own pencil to the floor.
I bend down to grab my pencil then suddenly, Blake's hand brushed against my hand.Feeling my skin.
Blake picked up my pencil from the ground.
"Here you go" He said as he give my pencil back.
"Thanks" I said in a bit nervous way.
"Also that looks amazing Blake" I told him about his drawing
"Thanks" Blake said and he smiled at.
After 35 mins of drawing everyone handed their drawings up to the teacher.

"And we have a winner" the teacher said.
I knew the winner wasn't me but I knew it was..
"The winner is.... Blake" the teacher announced.
Everyone was shocked when they saw his drawing cover.Everybody clapped and I clapped for him.
Blake had won a home pass.I feel proud for him.
English class was finish
For CSPE we talked about poverty in other countries and for business we talked and learned about economics.
God I had lots of homework.

Then the day had ended.I went home to do my homework, play my PS4 and ate my dinner.
My routine was kinda the same for every school day.
Days had passed.Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday had passed.
Today is now Friday.The beep test is today...

Blake's POV (point of view)
I can't believe I won.I never felt the feeling of being cheered on for something I did.Everyone clapped for me especially David Flynn...
I had to avoid David sometimes because I'm at school and he is someone I have a crush on.I didn't want my feelings to take over me so I had to just focus on my school, studies and friends but Its still hard to keep David out of my head.
I also felt that David was watching me when I was drawing the picture.
He is so cute and likeable in the same time.

My drawing looks amazing and I won a home pass.No homework for me from English.Yay
Today was Friday, PE is the first class just like every Fridays supposed to be.The beep test is today.
Me and my whole class went to the PE hall.
Before we started the beep test we changed into our PE clothes in the changing room.The changing room is basically an open room with benches on the side of each wall.
I changed into my PE clothes and my runners.After changing, I left the room and went straight for the PE hall.Me and the boys sat down on the benches.The benches were packed.I saw David coming in and he looked for space to sit down.
I moved a bit to the right side and told David that there is space next to me.I didn't want to avoid him this time.
David sat next to me on the left side.
"Thanks" he said and smiled
"Your welcome" I smiled back at him.

David wore a short sleeved white jersey and blue shorts.I could see his small muscle on both arms.
I was sitting down on the benches, cramped like being inside a can of tuna.
I didn't notice that I accidentally touched David's right leg with my left leg.
I could feel his own skin touching, brushing against my leg.His skin felt warm and soft.

"Okay lads the beep is ready" the PE teacher announced.
We stand up from the benches and so, we began the beep test.
"Can't wait for the beep test" I said to myself sarcastically.
