Zack was back at his shared apartment with Holly. She didn't cry last night. She didn't even try looking for him. She was so mad.

Zack tried to hug her, but she brushed him off. He just stood there feeling like a fool.

"Yeah." Zack laughed humorlessly. "Good morning to you, too."

Holly crossed her arms. "Where were you last night? And why is your phone here?"

"Somewhere safe. Somewhere far from you. I left it." Zack answered as he took off his socks.

When he was done removing them, he placed them on the hamper and proceeded to the kitchen.

There was some coffee left on the coffee machine, and he poured himself a cup. He went to the fridge to get some eggs and sausage to cook because Holly prepared none for him.

Holly followed him and stood at the corner. She was frowning at him. Zack eyed her confusedly, and she just rolled her eyes. "What? What do you want?"

Holly rolled her eyes. "I bought those eggs."

Zack sighed. "So? And this is my home before you forced yourself to live here and share the rent. Would you give it up? I'm hungry."

"And I paid more than you do after you failed to research some news for Verizon last month. You're lucky they didn't fired you." Holly backfired.

Zack chuckled with annoyance. "And you're lucky you're still here. For goodness sakes, Holly. Shut up even just for a minute. I just want to have a peaceful breakfast."

Holly huffed and went out of the kitchen. "Fine. We'll finish after that. Make sure to wash your dishes, Gordon."

"Oh. I'll do, Ms. Trey."

In reality, Zack lost his appetite, but he still ate because he needed it. He needs the strength to fight whatever evil is dwelling with his girlfriend.

After washing his plates, he went to look for Holly, who was now at the balcony, smoke in her hand.

"I never thought you smoked. When did you ever smoke?" Zack asked, offended that Holly never told him this while he basically told her his life story.

Holly looked at him with disgust. "What do you care?"

"I care because I am your boyfriend. Anyway, what are you so mad about? Is it still because of Sunday? Holly, she's gone, alright. She's back in London. What else do you want?" Zack questions her.

Holly threw the cigarette away and looked at Zack. "I see the way you were looking at her, Zack. And I know you don't look at me the way you do with her. Tell me, do you love Sunday?"

"Where is this all coming from? Why are you accusing me of something I don't know about?"

Holly's eyes softened, and she began to cry. "I don't know. I'm just jealous, okay? When they were here, you didn't give me enough attention. It was all directed to them. And when Sunday went missing for days, all you could think about was her."

Zack let out a breath. "Of course I was worried. She's the mother of my child and my best friend. I just can't care."

"I know. I know. But it was as if you don't love me." Holly cried harder this time. Zack did not know how to calm her down.

He went forward and hugged her. She gave in. "Of course I love you. You're my girlfriend, remember?" Zack reassured her.

Holly hugged him harder. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's just that she made me insecure. I did not know what to do. She was so beautiful, Zack. She was sexier and had a pretty smile."

Zack didn't even notice that Sunday was sexier. But her smile was sure captivating.

"Why would you even think that? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on. I wouldn't even want to marry or date anyone if they weren't. For example, you. You're beautiful." Zack laughed.

Oh no.

Zack's eyes went wide. Did he just say that out of panic? He didn't even mean it that way.

Holly let go of Zack and looked at him with so much compassion. "Oh my gosh. I'm beautiful? Does that mean you would marry me? Yes, Zack. I would love to marry you."

"Uh--yeah. I didn't mean it that way--uh. What I mean was--" Zack stopped himself from talking when he saw the hurt in his girlfriend's eyes.

Fuck.

"Never mind. Uh. I'm glad you wanted to marry me." Holly squealed and hugged his boyfriend.
