Rian knocked on her door at 9 in the evening. She was just about ready. All she just needs to do now is to put on some lipstick. She chose the colour nude. Rian always loved the way she looked on that colour. It was just natural.

"Sunday! Your friend's at the door!" her mum called out.

A door closed, and Sunday with a messy hair came out. "Yeah. I'm done."

Her mum looked at her with a puzzled expression. "Fix your hair. And, the keys are under the pot. I know you're going to be late."

Sunday smiled and gave her mum a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, mum. But we're having a sleepover at Alex's tonight. Is that okay?"

"Of course. Be safe."

"Yep. I'm going now."

Sunday was wearing a red velvet off shoulder dress with her black Suede ankle strap heels.

It was just rare to see her like this.

She grabbed her silver purse and went outside. Rian was leaning on the porch with a can of beer in hand.

When he saw Sunday, he rolled his eyes. "Took your time. We're late. Alex's parents have been calling him non-stop."

She picked a stone and threw it at him. "Well, I'm sorry. I needed to straighten my hair and put on some make-up."

They walked to the car where Zack, Jack, and Alex were situated. Light music was playing inside.

Sunday opened the door at the front, and all the boys groaned. "Took your time."

"Whatever. Let's go." She rolled her eyes.

It was Alex's parents' 24th wedding anniversary. They were having dinner at Charleston, and so they all wore formal.

"You know, classes will already start next week." Sunday opened up to the group.

"We know, Sunday." Zack grumbled. "You know, I've been avoiding Athena for the past semester. She just won't leave me alone."

"Then you tell her off, man." Jack laughed.

"I already did, and it's so obvious that when she's there, I run off to the other direction. She just doesn't get the message." Zack breathed out.

"What did you do to her to make her that obsessed?" Alex questioned.

Sunday nodded her head. "Yeah, right. I mean, what's there to be obsessed about you, Steven? You're just the plain old Zachary Steven Merrick. The bassist and the ugliest."

Everyone laughed in the car. Zach faked a cry and slapped Sunday's head. "You're stupid."

"Ouch. At least I am not ugly." Sunday responded as they reached their destination. Alex parked the car.

They all went out and entered the restaurant. Alex's parents smiled and waved them over.

Sunday and the rest met in their middle school. They instantly became friends when Zack helped Sunday up after being pushed by a classmate. He also defended her.

They all study at Morgan State University. They are in their third year of college with Sunday studying theatre arts, Alex with marketing management, Jack and Rian with music, and Zack with broadcast journalism.

"Welcome. Thank you for being here, Sunday." Isobel smiled and held Sunday's hand.

"It's not a problem. In fact, I must be thanking you for inviting me."

Isobel laughed. "Of course, child. You've been friends with my son for 5 years. How can I not?"

The five settled in, and after a minute or two, the food came. They all sighed with satisfaction.

"So, for the second semester, we third years will be having a show next month. It's for charity. It costs 3.11 dollars, though." Sunday said when Peter asked how her studying was.

"And, I am inviting you. I hope you can all come." She added and smiled.

"Of course. Just give the details to Alex soon. We would love to help you and donate." Isobel assured.

Peter nodded. "What will you be playing? What role?"

"Erm. I'll be directing it." Sunday bit her lip. Jack nudged her and smiled.

Rian took a sip of his coke. "What is the show all about?"

"It's about the struggles of an orphan who lost his parents on the fire."

"Interesting. Will you be casting us?" Alex laughed

Sunday deadpanned. "As much as I want to, you already look like an orphan, so I'm afraid the audience won't enjoy it."

"Okay. Go out. You're celebrating my parents' anniversary today, and you're calling me an orphan? What are they, then?" Alex jokingly scolded her, which resulted in a fits of laughter.

"Your foster parents." Peter snickered.

It was 10:30 in the evening when they finished. Isobel and Peter went ahead to the Four Seasons Hotel.

The five of them went to Alex's place. They ordered pizza on the way. Sunday picked 3 hawaiians and requested to put lots of pineapple.(No hate. I love pineapples on pizza).

There were 2 pepperoni, 2 buffalo pizza, and one bbq chicken. The eight pizzas were all paid by Jack.

"Next time, it would be Zack's turn to pay." Jack groaned. "I always pay."

Everyone laughed. They did not comment any further. Everybody knows Jack is loaded. Yes. Sometimes, his friends take advantage of his gold, but it's okay because they still benefit from one another.

Jack is the son of a CEO. Bassam Barakat is the CEO of the Mc Comas Fuel Co. Though Joyce wanted him to study business, he wanted to follow his dream, which is to play guitar and perform on stage.

When they reached the Gaskarths, Sunday took off her heels and grabbed one of Alex's slippers.

"Hey. I'm gonna borrow that black shirt you wore last Monday, alright?" Sunday said as she walked upstairs to get the shirt and also grabbed a boxer.

"Do you have beer?' Zack asked. "I really wanted to drink a bottle or two. Helps me stay awake." Alex rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen to get a beer for Zack and the rest.

When everyone was settled, Rian turned on the telly and played episode 2 of Game of Thrones season 8.

It was already two in the morning, and the boys were still watching. Sunday fell asleep on the floor with her hand still on the pizza's box.
