Layla's POV

"Damn she's so stubborn." I banged my door and threw myself on the bed.  "Aghhh" I took a deep breath and calmed down. She's right though. There goes my inner voice. Does anyone have one or I'm just losing it? You're actually crazy thinking you could be crazy. Okay that was funny.

But Tamara can't be right. Who said I need a man? I mean I'm functioning well am I not? You're lonely. Bitch shut up I am not lonely. Yes you are. I rolled my eyes and took out my laptop. I just need me a good movie.

...

And it was a disaster. "Dammit!" Everything I tried to watch was romance or had a bit of romance to it. This is insane, how can everything I want to watch now have happy couples? See why we say you need you a man? Okay fine I'm lonely. Are you happy now? Of course not. We have to get you someone. Dating apps? Wow my inner voice knows all that stuff?

I took my laptop again and searched for dating apps and found a few interesting ones. "This should be interesting". I scrolled over a lot of men that looked very mature but I don't trust anyone until I see them myself.

I spent almost an hour just looking at people's profiles and no one really sparked my interest, so I decided to just quit. I left my room to drink some water downstairs. I saw Tamara on the couch she was busy with her phone. I headed to the kitchen and opened the fridge.

"Damnit!" Tamara cursed. She looked my way. "Oh thank God. Mom can I borrow your laptop my phone is acting up right now, I don't know maybe it's the WiFi or something." I should probably buy her, her own.

"Sure it's in my room" she ran upstairs so quickly. It must be really important. I poured my water in a glass then went to the couch and decided to look at food network. I am a chef so it's no surprise I always watch food channels if not movies.

Tamara came back with my laptop smiling. "Everything sorted now?" She shook her head and started giggling. What is going on with her? "Tamara I hope you did not just purchase an expensive phone with my laptop. I will literally murder you".

"Mom" she was in fits of laughter right now. "You....." she laughed again. I decided to continue watching Jamie Oliver 15 minutes meals. Tamara is being crazy right now. "Okay okay. I've stopped laughing. Look." She opened my laptop and I was so shocked.

"Okay Tamara I can explain that". This child started laughing again. I mean she was even crying. "Tamara stop laughing it's not what you think"

"I wasn't even thinking anything though. Oh Gosh I can't breathe." I'm so embarrassed right now. "Mom relax. You know I just found it funny because just an hour ago you were literally pissed that I brought up the subject of you starting to date again. And then now I find out you do online dating?"

"Tamara I created that account an hour ago. What you said got to me so I was like maybe you know I'd get someone to talk to."

"It's fine. I didn't mean to get you upset I just want you to be happy and I know you think you are the happiest just with us alone but ma. I'm leaving in a few months, I'll be going to college so I don't want to leave you here feeling lonely. And even Tyler will leave too someday." I am gonna cry right now. My baby cares so much about me?

"Tamara you're...." A tear fell down my face. Gosh I'm such an emotional woman.

"It's okay mom don't cry. I know." She wiped the tear with her thumb. "I love you okay?" I nodded.

"I love you too baby." I gave her a tight hug. I have the best daughter ever. "Now do whatever you want to do in silence I need to watch Jamie. He's making something I want to to try out." I turned my attention back to the screen while Tamara busied herself with my laptop.
