Chapter 10

Jasper's POV

We finally arrived in LA. I was so excited my heart even skipped a beat. I couldn't believe I was now going to be living in LA with my friend. She didn't get to spend a long time in France but she was still someone I liked to spend time with. I lied to her and said I was visiting, okay wait I didn't lie cause in actual fact I never said I was visiting I just told her I'm coming to LA. I just didn't mention forever and with my family.

Alicia was super excited to see her again. My father is a cardiologist and he got a job offer that landed us here. A house was already bought in Tarzan Alicia got her transfer to California Institute of Technology already. Monday she was starting school.

"Our uber is right this way kids come on." Mom said. I was carrying Alex, he was sleeping already. Alex is my two year old brother. Yup there's a huge gap between us. I'm 18.

"Finally" I said softly. We all got in and the driver took us to our new home. I couldn't wait to see Tam's reaction when I tell her I'd be staying here now.

Tamara's POV

I woke up with a heavy headache "shit" I cursed. I looked at my phone and saw it was 10am, thank God it's a Saturday no school today. I dragged myself to the bathroom. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. Today I even decided to wash my hair. It was still wet and I combed it and put in a bun. I love how the hair looks in a wet bun. I went to my drawer and took out some grey jeans and a white hoodie.

I looked in the mirror and my eyes looked puffy and a little red. Damn it. I took out a pair of black winter socks and wore them. I went downstairs and found no one. Okay that's weird. Where did everyone go? I looked around to the back yard still no one. I went back upstairs to mom's room. Where is she I started getting worried.

I ran to Tyler's room and he was also gone. My heart was pacing. Wait am I dreaming? I pinched myself. "Ouch" then I'm not dreaming. Maybe they wrote a message, I went to my room to check my phone.

Mom: Morning sweety, your breakfast is in the microwave okay. Tyler is coming with me even today. Love you❤️

I was so relieved I even let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding. I checked the other messages and I saw Darin left me a thousand messages and missed calls. I put my phone in my pocket and went downstairs again.

I took my food out made coffee and went to the living, I switched on the TV and started watching while I ate.

I wasn't even watching the TV to be honest. Yesterday with Darin was what kept playing in my mind. I hated myself right now. I just couldn't even believe all the things I said to him yesterday.

My phone started ringing and I put my food on the seat next to me. I saw a number I didn't know, what the hell? I wonder who this is.

"Hello?"

"Tam Tam" I heard Jasper's voice and I instantly started screaming. Finally he's here. "How are you?" Horrible.

"I'm fine how are you? How was your flight? Did you even sleep well" he chuckled

"I'm great Tam. My flight was great and I barely slept I was impatiently waiting for the morning so I'd go buy a SIM card to be able to call you." We both laughed. " I want to see you already Tam are you home?"

"Yes"

"Okay send me your address and I'll take an uber right away." I wasn't in the mood to go out so that most definitely saved me.

"Okay" I hung up and did that.

I was feeling a little better now just knowing Jasper is on his way. I finished my food and cleaned my plate. I went back to the living room and decided to look for something good on Netflix. Maybe there's something I can love. I saw Money Heist and immediately selected it.
