Riley's POV:
I sat on one of the free chairs in Michelle's house, possibly the only free chair that was left since the rest of the rooms were filled. Music was playing at an extreme volume, giving me some sort of migraine and I could just about hear what Ally was saying as she spoke to me, sat on the chair opposite. Foods and drinks were scattered all over the floors and Michelle was pretty much running around, trying to get to everyone to tell them off for the mess they've managed to muster.
From what I know, friends from school and her dance were here and even her cousins, from both sides of her family that is, were here too. I think there were also several others who hadn't originally been invited but heard there was a party and decided to show up. It just reminds me of when James and I went to Alexa's house party last year with literally no difference. Michelle's house is just as large with an outdoor pool in the backyard and people were hanging around in every room possible. There were those who were tipsy and on the very verge of being drunk and intoxicated and I just didn't feel comfortable being around everyone when I'm carrying a baby. It's not exactly advisable after all.
I watched as West scuttled around the room on his limbs, looking like a barn animal as he sniffed for something. He got to crawling by my knees and looking up at me expectantly but all I did was raise an eyebrow until he left. I don't know what the hell is up with him and what's even weirder is how Giselle kept on following him around, calling his name as if he was some sort of domestic dog.
There was no sign of Alexa or anyone along the lines of her here yet. Even if they were, I doubt I would see them straight away since there are so many people crowding around. Suddenly the tv flashes on and a video of JoJo Siwa dancing begins to play and everyone cackles whilst some start dancing along, it was mainly those who had already had too much to drink, however. I notice Michelle standing on the stairs before realizing what was playing on her tv to which she cusses loudly for everyone to hear, not that it had gone silent which just gives an idea of how loud she had shouted. She scurries over before snatching the remote off of Darian and wracking him in the head with it and he responds by chuckling before leaning in to kiss her. That guy just needs his own special someone because I'm pretty sure he 'flirts' with a different girl every single day.
Rolling her eyes, Ally smiles, fixing her gaze back on me. "So, how are you doing anyway?" she asks, her eyes landing on my stomach. I tilt my head to the side for a split second, giving her some sort of idea as she chuckles.
"It's kind of stressful to be honest," I tell her. She nods.
"When's she due?"
"April, somewhere around the 8th or so," I tell her.
"And when's the wedding?"
"March 21st." Her eyes widen in alarm.
"Oh my gosh! That's literally only six weeks away," she reminds me as if I wasn't already aware. I was the one who helped plan it and everything after all. "I am invited, right?" she grins.
"Of course you are!" I exclaim and she laughs a little before I feel a hand on my arm. I turn around to be met with James. He had gone to help Eldon with some sort of gift for Michelle or something like that, I'm not totally sure.
"Babe, do you mind just coming outside for a moment and helping us with something?" he asks in a discreet manner.
"Uh, sure, but what for?"
"You'll see when you come," he says, growing quite impatient. He throws a quick smile to Ally before looking at me again with a desperate look in his eyes.
"Uhm, yeah, okay," I say. I stand up just at the same time as he grabs my hand and drags me away from my friend as I'm telling her that I would be back in a bit. He stands behind me then, placing both of his hands on my shoulders and leading me through the crowd before entering an empty kitchen, possibly the only deserted room in the house which also had a large cake with a picture of Michelle on it in pink and white icing, and then I'm lead outside to the only quiet place in her back garden where I also find Eldon, going through something on a laptop. James leaves from standing behind me and then I look at the two of them inevitably. "Okay...? What are you two up to?" I ask them both.
