Riley's POV:

James and I stayed behind with West, Giselle and Ally as we helped to tidy up the house with Michelle and Eldon. Her parents weren't home and everyone had pretty much wrecked the house, leaving it a complete mess so helping her clean up really isn't the worst punishment in the world. I was about to crouch down onto the floor to sweep up a few pieces of shattered glass, but then James takes the dustpan and brush out of my hands.

"Let me, Ri," he says. I smile, standing back up as he kneels down on the floor. I place my hand lightly on top of my bump, rubbing it soothingly and then I walk over to help Michelle as she tried to carry her presents all to one side of the room but suddenly, Eldon beats me to it.

"I've got it, Riley," he says. I nod before looking around the room and I see Giselle cleaning the table surfaces with a cloth, Ally washing the plates and West doing something with a tall broom and it looks like he's sweeping, but I'm honestly not too sure.

Everyone was doing something except me and so I keep trying to find something to do. My eyes draw to the pieces of food which was scattered around the floor and so I walk over to the kitchen to grab a brush, only for Giselle to take it before I could. "Don't worry Ri, I've got it from here," she says. I nod again and smile weakly even though I felt irritably annoyed. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't help out. But saying that, I find myself going to sit down on the stall at the island anyway.

I take James's phone from off of the table in front of me and then enter the passcode. I go on his phone all the time just how he goes on mine anyway so it's not that big of a deal, plus his passcode was Leila's birthday. I guess it's just a way to remind him of her. It's his lock screen as well; a photo of the three of us in the hospital bed that day and the nurse took it. I had our baby in my arms and James was sat on the edge of the bed beside me, one arm around my body and the other lightly holding her index finger. Despite the fact we only ever got to hold her as a lifeless child, at least we got to see her and spend a small amount of time with her before having to say goodbye.

I stare at the photo for a short moment until his phone finally logs me in and the background changes to a photo of me, him and the rest of his siblings all together on Christmas day, a picture Ian had taken. I smile at it and then go onto his Instagram and have a look at some of the recent photos he had posted, finding he had screenshotted a photo from off of Giselle's account.

Three lovely girls, can you guess which one's mine though?🙈 Just kidding, I love all of you (Ri so much more though❤) Michelle and Giselle, you two are such amazing and supportive friends to both of us and even though I tend not to show it, I'm glad to see you guys all the time! Happy Birthday M! We've had our ups and downs but you're still amazingly sarcastic and I love it. Giselle, thank you for keeping West sane (sometimes) and Ri... I love you babe. Always will and can't wait to be a father to our child🥰 Love you lots💓x

I smile, chuckling at certain bits before clicking on the comment section.
