"Richardo,you home?"Someone yells from downstairs, Richardo moves away from me and runs down the stairs without saying anything.
I wipe the tears that were forming in the corner of my eyes and follow him downstairs.
My stomach twists when I see his mom and sister standing by the door,a frown appears on their faces as soon as they see me.
"What is she doing here?"His mom asks while looking me up and down, Richardo clears his throat and answers.
"She's my fiancee,she goes where I go,what are you doing here?"She looks at me then back at him.
"Maybe we should sit down"He shakes his head.
"I don't have time for that now,what's wrong? Why are you here so early?".
Her eyes fill with tears and she takes his hand.
"Your dad went missing last night, he's gone".
My head snaps in Richardo's direction and I feel a lump in my throat.
"What!?"He clenched his jaw and forms a fist with his hand.
"What do you mean he's gone?"
His sister bursts out crying and hugs him tight.
"H...He didn't come home last night a...And he's not answering his phone,no one saw him since the dinner party"She sobs in his shoulder and I feel a stab of guilt and regret in my heart.
"Did you check his office?"His mom nods.
"Yes,he wasn't there,no one saw him,we called all the hospitals and he's not there either".
I stare at them,his mom and sister crying in his arms and he's just staring at the wall with his hands by his sides, forming a fist with them,what have I done? I didn't even think about his family...I didn't try to put myself in their position... I ruined a family.
"Calm down, he's probably in a hotel somewhere"He says and pushes her off him.
"But-but-"He hisses.
"I'll handle it"He says angrily and rubs his chin.
I stand awkwardly and watch them,the two of them crying and him just glaring at them unphased.
This is so awkward and stupid,I got myself in this now how do I get out of it?
I slowly walk up the stairs, grabbing my purse and running to my room, I close the door grabbing my phone and dialing Austin's number,after a few rings he picks up and I sigh in defeat.
"Hey, everything alright?"I put my hand on my chest taking deep breaths.
"His family knows he's gone missing, they're crying downstairs and I can't...I... I ruined the family"I pace around the room breathing heavily.
