Of course he had to hear us.
I plaster on a fake smile and glance at Monica,she knows what she has to do.
"Carlos baby,come here for a second,we need to have a chat"She grabs his ear and pulls him away from us.
"They're having some fun, shall we? possibly hurry up so I can catch up with other guests"She nods.
"Of course,of course, let's go"We walk out to her black Mercedes and she opens the trunk, reaching for a black case.
"I have the exact amount right here, when can I expect the paperwork to be done?"I take the case and wave at our driver to collect the case.
"In less than a week,just like he asked for"She nods,the driver takes the case from my hands and puts it in the car, I told him to take all the money I gather tonight to the warehouse me and Monica rented for a week until we figure out what to tell the guys.
"Pleasure doing business with you Victoria"I shake her hand with a smile on my face.
"The pleasure is all mine, enjoy your night and day hello to Richardo for me".
"I will,and you say hello to Robert"I give her a wink and I walk back inside.
Monica is handling other business so I have to take the next person on my own,Stella Maze,the new in the business, won't be hard since she's not a professional and her seventy five year old,very wise and smart husband is plugged on life support machine.
I walk inside and bump right into her.
She's a tall blonde, skinny,brown eyes, short hair and actually has a good heart but can't stand not being the center of attention so she does everything to be the most important person in the room.
"Stella darling"She grins and hugs me, pressing her cheek against mine.
"You look so beautiful, Richardo is a lucky man I have to say"She puts her hand on my shoulder,it stayed little longer than it should have.
"How are you doing? Where the fine husband of yours?"She asks and looks around,I laugh sarcastically and move her hand off my shoulder.
"He's with our daughter,one of our daughters...We have two more,Enya and Allegra"Her smile fades a little but she quickly puts it back on and shrugs.
"What brings you here to this event? What about being a stay at home mom? Maybe work out a bit,hahahahaha"She smiles and slaps my shoulder while laughing.
"No, actually I don't need to work out,I look even better now, can't you tell?"I spin around and put my hands on my hips.
"You got a little around the hips there"I laugh.
"More for Richardo to grip"She stops laughing and blushes awkwardly.
"Oh...Good for him then"I nod.
"Sure is,now tell me what brings YOU here? Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital taking care of your husband?".
"He's fine,he would want me here tonight, everyone is giving great offers"I laugh.
"They sure are, but I hope you brought the money"She looks at me confused.
"What money?".
"Your husband didn't tell you? Before he ended up in the hospital he bought a firm from Richardo,he still didn't give him the money and Richardo already sent the paperwork two weeks ago,we are expecting you to pay for him".
He looks at me for a few seconds before speaking.
"He didn't tell me?".
"Why would he tell a 17 year old girl that doesn't know what finances are that he bought a firm?"I ask, arching an eyebrow.
"Well...You got a point yes,how much he owns?".
"Seven million,we decided on half a million more since we've been waiting for him"She bites her lip.
"So it's seven and a half million now?"She asks confused,I stare at her trying to process how bad she is at math...Well if you insist.
I smile and tilt my head.
"No...Do you have the money?".
"I have the money in my car,hold on I'll go-"I cut her off.
"No,no,you don't have to bring it,just leave it in our car,the driver is wearing a blue suit outside,you can't miss it".
"Okay,no problem, I'll be right back"She taps my cheek and walks out barely standing in her high heels.
I smile to myself and glance at Richardo, he's in the very corner of the room with Ariel and Austin, talking to his I'm assuming new buyer.
Now, where is Monica?
I walk out the main room and head to the bathroom down the hall, I knew she was here as soon as I heard loud female yelling coming from the bathroom, I grab the doorknob and pause.
"He's your brother,just don't tell him about this, we're trying to get all the money back so we can finally live like normal people"!!
"Not a real brother though"My eyes widen and I swing the door open.
"EXCUSE ME?!?? HE'S W-WHAT?!"
