I slide further into the couch, putting the ice cream in front of my face.
"Nothing, nothing at all,I just remembered I need to go get ready for tonight"I give the ice cream to Richardo and quickly get up.
"Carino call my mom and tell her too come around eight, I'll go take a shower and get Ariel ready"I blur out before hurrying up the stairs.
Me and my stupid mouth,I can't shut up when I need to but as soon as it's something I'm supposed to speak on I go mute,I was just getting close to her but now I ruined it, she's going to kill me for this.
"Hi mama"I jump frightened.
"You were outside ten minutes ago"She giggles and walks in her room,I follow behind her closing the door.
"We need to wash your hair and get you ready for tonight,my mom is coming because there's a small change Monica is my sister,well she might be"I say and she gasps, covering her mouth.
"What? Didn't daddy date her?"I nod.
"Well apparently he didn't he keeps saying he never did,I didn't ask further because it's hurtful but it's okay now, she's a nice girl and she was adopted"I look through her closet searching for an outfit to put her in.
"Oh, just like me? And she can be my aunt?".
"Mhhm, exactly so that's why my mom is coming over tonight and we'll ask her,you need to take a shower and I'll wash your hair"She nods and steps in the bathroom.
"How is your brother? Is he better?"She asks while undoing her braids.
"He's in critical condition still but don't worry about that, it's not important"I say and kiss her cheek.
I'm going to call a therapist so she can talk about her feelings with a professional, she's been through so much and I doubt it's going to get better anytime soon,I still need to have a talk with Richardo and her about it but I found a very good one online, I always wanted to see one myself but I wasn't in the position to do it but now I want to make sure she grows up fearless and happy, she's already too smart for a six year old,trauma made her grow up way too fast.
