Maki was bored, she took up Kaito's offer and went to the park.
She saw him standing next to a tree and she walked over to him.
"Maki! I didn't actually think you would come!" He laughed sheepishly "you were really dismissive at the party, I was beginning to think I was just getting my hopes up."
Beginning to get my hopes up? Was Kaito looking forward to see me? Maki thought to herself.
"It's fine, I didn't have anything better to do," she said Blankly. They began to walk.
"Maki Roll, ya hungry?"
"Not really. Just a little peckish, that's all"
"Great! There's an ice cream place up the street and it's really good, come with me." He grabbed her wrist and started running. Why did she begin blushing when he grabbed her wrist? Nevermind. She was just warm.
"Okay Maki Roll, we're here! What flavour do you want?"
"I don't know, you pick for me."
After Kaito headed inside Maki pulled out her phone camera and looked at herself. Dang it. She was blushing after all. She tried fanning her face just incase it was hot but it wasn't that. Why was she blushing? She didn't know why, or did she?
Kaito came out with the ice cream.
"I got you some raspbe- Maki roll are you OK?" Kaito looked over at Maki who was fanning her face.
"It's fine I'm just warm."
"But it's really cold, its supposed to snow tonight."
"Oh, I must be sick then" Maki said forcing a smile.
"Really? I guess you need to go then. Today was fun!"
"Yeah, it was."
"See you another time, Makiroll?"
"Yeah, sure."
