Chapter 20

As people talk around how beautiful the story of a loving Phraoh towards the Goddess that protected the wildlife and gifts of God's of Egypt. It circulated and was told to the young As a bed time story. Meanwhile the Phraoh's heart was cold towards any maiden or woman he had no choice but to have another woman to his harem, concubines and mistresses but one thing he so desired to be beside him was his lovely flower, Peony who grow to be a beautiful woman. In his eyes he is like a butterfly that fly in his backyard and he couldn't touch this creature.

Inside the palace of Egypt everyone see this scene, the troubles between the goddess and the Phraoh, the story was true in fact, the love that is between them didn't wither away.

" My Lord?" The man asked to the dazed Phraoh, leaning on his chin and his hand a bit to the side. He asked again and the second before he fully snap into reality. He blink a few time before realizing that he was at a meeting. Everyone look at each other and the Cairo cleared his throat, " So.. where.. was I?" He look to the man and there was a clear dumbfounded look to him.

" your majesty, you should rest". The minister said putting the clay tablet on the hands of his personal attendant. The Phraoh shook his head, "stop please continue" he said but the minister didn't continue and sigh. His hands both at the center with a serious look of concern on his face, " if I may your Majesty, I know that look. We are all concern about the kingdom and yet you are concern about your love affair of the proposed Queen, your concubine the goddess Nepthys. We all know that you both have trouble." Cairo's lips left in a gap and he looked away and glance to Haetu which he nod to him saying that it is true.

" please get the future Queen of Egypt agree. We all vouch for both of you your majesty, Please I'll take care of this." He bowed and that made his mind, to take three days off and like what the Minister said he will get Peony to agree to him to marry him.

His heart pounded in excitement as he think about it, the happiness and the love he can give her, he would do everything and his best for her. They will make Egypt a remarkable kingdom.

"Acho!" I snized. I cover my nose and saw servants staires at me. What are their problem, what is it now.

The door open and the familiar voice greated me with all softest and lightest happiness. " My Goddess Nepthys, I hope you have a  pleasant morning." I look back to see who was the person and saw a woman dresses in dark blue servant dress with stylish rope that becomes it's belt wrapping her waist showing her curves and her hair was in braide.  " Kera..." I jump into her and pull her in a tight embrace. " I missed you!" I said to her as he return the embrace back to me, before we break the hug he said to me, "I miss you too my goddess."

I look at her face that is now very well and ofcourse she improved, I haven't seen her after my journey to Thebes. " why... what are you doing here?" I asked her and she chuckle, " I became the empress attendant and now I asked for her to make me your attendant. She was pleased for my wish because I got promoted, instead having a lot of money I wished to become your personal servant again. "
Her eyes started to water and with a satisfied smile her face look very happy.

"Kera..." I menstion her name as I pull her for a hug, she is very sweet, she wanted to be beside me and help me for my everyday needs, I would love that, a friend by my side. " thank you." I whisper to her.

The evening went by and Kera and I enjoyed meals together, she wasn't only my servant but also a friend of mine, we enjoyed every second and i told her about Thebes and how fun it is, she too me her mother lived in Thebes and if I have plan we can visit her both.
My heart overwhelm with happiness it felt like it cannot be more happier than this until Kera bring up a topic: " You know Egypt really loved you and the Phraoh they said you were made from the heavens a soulmate!" She said with a hyper tone.

My smile slowly faded from my face and she continued, " There is a story around Egypt that a Goddess that was born mortal was found by the Phraoh and that blossom a new era. It nourished Egypt and give life to many plants and that love came with a song. " my brow raised to her and started to laugh, "where did that started" I said mockingly.

"My lady! That story and song is the best" she pouted and cross her arm. " it started in the temple of Isis and it spread over seas." I lean a bit closer curious to what this kind of storie and song was, I did not imagine that this kind of story was created a pure fantasy one.

As we talk pleasantly and Kera continued to talk about the story after I asked the whole version of it a loud clank was heard near the balcony, so we quickly stood up and run to see who was it, a man dressed in a simple attire and his hair was carefree, he was putting the one that falls back to its place when we saw it.

"WHO ARE YOU! " angrily Kera said and his protective hands across my space. The man slowly look towards us and my eyes widen after recognition. It was the Phraoh, he sneak into my chamber.

"YOU..." Kera pointed to the man and my hands suddenly catch her wrist before she can move an inch. "My lady.." her voice unknowing and her eyes went to me.

"What may I do for the Phraoh.." I said stern. And Kera glance to me then to Cairo who dressed so simple, even Kera didn't know that it was the Phraoh, the ruler of Egypt.

" what's with this coldness my love." The smug smile that Cairo placed on his dashing rogue face.
"Your Majesty, do you have any emergency or request? If not please do not visit me in my chamber unannounced like this without any attendant..." I turn away and disregard him. As I saw his face my heart started to ache and remembered the last time.

" do you really think you can dismissed me that easy Chione?" His voice seem to followed and I ignore him.

"Its Nepthys." I corrected.

"whatever!" He said pulling my hand and my face meet his,
" Peony... " I mutter the best straight face I can and one's again corrected him, " Your Majesty, if you will not call my name then call me Chione." I pull my hands back and his browse frowned.

He pull the both side of my shoulder making me face and stay still towards him. " Peony! Look at me.. what's with this cold shield you keep me away from you." He tried to reason with me but I have to stay still, I have to remember  what Bastet told me.. however, is that still valid? Isis, Amon had agreed to our marriage.. I'm the only one who didn't and Cairo respecting my decision who stoped the marriage.

" I want to know you, the Peony I know is different so I have to know the you that is infront of me... if you don't want the marriage then I won't force you yet, but this marriage is not for Egypt or my power or the future royal generation but for me, I love you Peony". My eyes widen as I noticed his emotional feelings towards me.

My eyes almost tear up, it dwell in the ends of my eye. "Cairo.. " I wanted to say that I wanted him, I want to know him and prove me wrong that he isn't the same as a Phraoh that is supposed to love more concubines and marry them for power.

My hands raised to his chest and push him a little. " I understand." My contented smile showed to my face. My heart knows how I can respond to this, and to accept him but it wouldn't be easy.
