Chapter 24

In my room, I was already frustrated, walking in coil back and forth with my hands fiddling with each other. Any moment now they would come to me and ask me why did I not stay still. However, I have agreed to stay mortal. As long as I am mortal I can be exiled and just that, the other gods will not punish me for such trespass I have done.

Kera entered the room with a tray in her hands, inside the tray were fruits and wine. "Goddess, please ease yourself". Her brow wrinkles a bit at the sight of me uneasy. I finally sat down and drink the whole wine which worries her more. " Did I do wrong? Did I choose the right path" I sigh.

"Goddess I'm sure your love for Egypt cannot be measured and the God Ammon Ra could understand this. My goddess has such a pure heart". She smiled to me just to get my whole head easy.

Yes. I understand that, I just don't want to lose Egypt and most of all Cairu, the impact of this is mostly directed to him. I cannot bare to stand and watch him getting betrayed.    

"Knock, knock". The gentle voice of a mother came to me in just like it was her cue to save me.  From this terrible situation.
"My dear", she Open her arms and almost jump towards me embracing me closely. "I heard what is this all about". My lips split in a gap trying to defend my actions. " I do adore this heroic strength my beloved". Her hands softly touched my face, " however, there are a lot of thorns along this path you choose darling".  Her gentle eyes shift into a strong and serious look, "are you sure you have chosen the right path?" I look down from all guilt, worries I have on my mind. To be honest, I was scared of the unknown, scared for what will come to me.

Mother chuckled, then pinched my cheek. "My cute daughter,  trust what you have at mind. I know you will survive this storm and save what you wanted to save". She winks to me and stand up, stretching her arms up to the sky with a moan of relief. " Peony, all the gods will go back to the world of immortals. I will talk to them for my cute daughter sake".
I glance to her which she kissed the back of my hand, " don't mind that omen of that cat, she is just worried about what is about to come. I know you loved the Pharaoh since then". 

I got up and mouthed the word mother, she just smile to me and leave the  room.
My hand covers my mouth that is set in a gap. Thank you... thank you. My eyes were watering by my tears and I rolled like a ball crying all of my fears and happiness at the same time.

Kera slowly pull me up on my feet and wipe my tears with her fingers. " My lady crying does not suit you," she chuckled. I nod to her and completely wipe my tears away. "Yes... yes, you are right".

The next day I know, I woke up from the eyes of people walking around the room with a busy pace. My head slowly progresses, what was happening when this dark skin woman with big chest that is respectively, showed by side boobs and her small waist that is emphasized by a brown belt, her curly dark hair make her look like a goddess specially her perfectly brown complexion.

The woman stands beside the bed and look down to me with a serious look in her face.
"Excuse me?" My voice was not certain of what I wanted to say at that beauty.

"Your highness, it is time for you to wake up". I grin to her then that faded as soon as I open my mouth, "Hmm, who are you?" I asked. "Your Highness, I'm your Royal attendant, they call me by the name Annita".

My  Royal attendant?

" I...--" She pulls me up from the bed and on my feet, she slowly undress me which I am slowly getting used to it after living in this time.  "Your highness, I will prepare you for the day and the upcoming days to come to the wedding ceremony until you bare your royal child".
