Charlotte Verstappen was born into the spotlight and she had no way out. Her mom being a famous kart driver, her dad a former formula 1 driver and her older brother being a formula 1 driver as well brought a lot of attention to their family and that only escalated after their divorce when the girl was only five years old.
The divorce wasn't unfriendly, quite the opposite, both sides remained friends, but of course, they both found their way towards happiness again.
So, of course, if it wasn't enough all the attention her family brought to her, she was soon thrown into the spotlight herself with people wanting to get a glimpse of every single member of the famous family.
In other words, the spotlight is all Charlotte has ever known and as much as she appreciates it all, nowadays all she wants is to be surrounded by people who truly know Charlotte Verstappen, not the image portrayed by the media.
