- MAX - I screamed jumping on my brother having him hold me so the two of us didn't fall
- Missed you too loser - He said laughing and I rolled my eyes at him
- Where's Kelly? And P? - I asked looking for my sister in law and her little daughter
- In Monaco - He answered and I pouted - Don't even do this face. I came to work so she tought it was better to stay behind, so who am I meeting today?
- Her boyfriend and his grandpa who's a big fan of you - Christian said entering the living room and I could've slapped him
- Hey mate - Max said giving him a hug and turning back to me - Boyfriend? I don't remember approving one, Christian I need more information
- Oh, Mason Mount, he's my teammate, actually quite the nice lad - He answered showing my brother photos on his phone
- I know him. Well, can't wait to actually have a verdict tonight - Max smiled sarcastically and so did I while wanting to kill Christian.
Mason and I would have to still pretend, I mean, his family are going to be there but still, I was hoping to tell Max the truth so both Mason and I could skip the annoying part that my brother is going to put. Max is an awesome brother but this comes with a lot of overprotectiveness that sometimes makes me go insane.
Trust me, whenever I'm in the paddock I can count on my hands who he doesn't stress over me being with, this is how overprotective he is. I know it means he cares and I know he's way more since we are always distant from each other, but it doesn't help for the most part.
Max and I might have grown up not that close because of his racing career and specially after the divorce since we both lived apart from each other, each with a parent. But trust me, Christmas is a competition to know which one of our parents is holding the party. So with Max racing and we both living in different countries made us seeing each other way more difficult than normal.
Hence why till this day Max does everything and anything he can to make sure I'm happy which I'm forever grateful but also sometimes I need to slow him down so he doesn't go all crazy.
Knowing he knew about Mason meant that after the meet up it would be a matter of time for the information to be thrown into the family group chat and that's when it would be the end of me. Definitely need to convince him to keep his mouth shut.
- Let's go! - I said getting my car keys and giving to my brother since having him here meant no driving for anyone else other than him
- Put his address in the gps - Max said and I nodded typing the address I had received earlier on
- By the way, he's parents are also going to be there, so be nice. - I pointed at my brother who nodded
- Pulisic did say he was nice before he left, I just need to make sure he's not lying for his friend - Max said smirking and I rolled my eyes
- He's actually nice, now shush and drive.
- Nice house - Max pointed out stepping out of the car in front of the footballer's house
- Yeah, it is. - I said ringing the doorbell and preparing myself mentally
- Hi honey, how are you? - Mason's mom, Debbie said pulling me into a hug as soon as she opened the door - You must be Max, nice to meet you dear - She said hugging my brother who was definitely warming up to the woman already.
