- Are you crying? - Mason asked looking at me holding his laugh and I slapped his arm

- Is not my fault your grandparents are cute as hell - I said wiping the tears while he laughed, not being able to hold it in anymore

The ceremony was over after a good twenty minutes, it wasn't anything too long which I definitely appreciated. Mason's family were all sweethearts and I was already comfortable around Stacey and Jasmine, Mason's older sisters.

Debbie and Tony, his parents, were lovely and I felt awful that Mason didn't tell them the truth that we weren't a couple but also seeing them and their excitement I could kinda understand since I don't think I'd have the guts to do it either. Lewis, his older brother is a character on his own, one of the funniest people I've met easily.

And please, I'm a kid freak, so let's not forget about Summer, Poppy and Harley cause Jasmine and Stacey had beautiful children and I already want to kidnap them to London.

- So, we were thinking of going to your favorite restaurant for tomorrow's lunch Mase, before you two have to leave - Debbie said and Mason looked at me which I just nodded agreeing on it

- Then we're going there - He said getting more excited

- I think I need to move full time to London and have you babysit my kid - Jasmine said looking at me who had Summer laying down at my stomach and I smiled nodding

- Please do - I said excitedly making her laugh - Like, if you guys want to travel just know I'm available - I said caressing the hairs of Summer

- See Mason, you should offer help like your girlfriend - His grandma arrived at our table and I felt nervous again since we were clearly lying about it and only Stacey knew about it

- I do, they just don't trust me - He defended himself making the entire table laugh - Plus, she's better with kids, she has two step siblings who are babies - He pointed out and I raised my brows

- They are not my step siblings, they're my half siblings - I explained and realized it was quite confusing - It's confusing, never mind

- I follow your brother closely, he's insane inside that car - His grandpa told me and I could see a few eyes confused on the table, including Mason

- He is, sometimes I wish he was a little less reckless - I said laughing and he laughed along

- Red Bull is lucky to have him, he'll be world champion someday - He said and I smiled proudly

- He will.

- Can someone situate me? - Stacey asked confused

- Her brother is Max Verstappen, one of the big names in Formula 1 nowadays. - Tom, her husband explained and I nodded agreeing

- That makes sense why you're a pain in the ass that doesn't let anyone drive - Mason pointed out and I rolled my eyes - She came the entire trip complaining about my driving

- I just know not to trust you guys behind the wheel at all times and you were getting distracted while going fast, which you're not trained for - I defended myself

- And you're? - He sassed

- Of course she is, she used to do go kart and every single year they do vacations where they race around a track - His grandpa explained - What? He's my favorite driver and he did a documentary, it showed.

- I think I need to arrange a meeting next time he comes to the UK - I pointed out

- Please do - Mason's grandma said and I smiled agreeing

Last night was way better than I expected for sure, Mason's grandparents were lovely just like the rest of the family and I was having a conversation with his grandpa about Formula 1 and Max's career for over a hour and it was quite nice to talk to someone who understood so much.

Eventually we did come back to the house and you could see the happiness that Mason's parents were feeling at the moment, all their kids who have been out of the house for years, reunited in it at the same time, something that Mason had told me doesn't happen very often and when it does is normally Christmas or their parents birthday.

No one wanted to go to bed as soon as we arrived and therefore we were up until 3AM playing board games, such as Monopoly and UNO while playing some old music - Tony's choice - in the background. It felt like one of those family reunions and although at first it felt wrong to be there it didn't take me long to feel comfortable again.

Mason was right about his family and it made me wish my dysfunctional family but I knew everyone had obligations and soon enough we would have a reunion like always and everyone would come together for some racing and some quality time together, except that will still take a little bit longer to happen, so I was extremely happy to have a taste of it.

Soon enough I was going around the house with Debbie, Jasmine and Stacey, all three girls determined to show me all the embarrassing pictures and any sort of memory of Mount they could and let me tell you, they succeeded. So, you could totally imagine that Mason wasn't exactly pleased with it but he was a little bit too wasted to realize I was taking pictures on my phone and I now had the power to make him the joke of the dressing room for at least a week if I really wanted to.

A little problem that our lie caused us? If you're dating you're expected to share a bed and that was exactly what we had to do at night. Someway somehow the barrier of pillows that we formed at night went away, just like that, puft disappeared and I woke up snuggled into Mason's chest and how the hell that happened was still a mystery but I wasn't complaining since it was undeniable that it was comfortable.

Now my sleeping schedule which is pretty messed up because of classes and work made me be awake before anything else in this household and so I've been seating in the couch for about thirty minutes since I don't feel comfortable to go mess in their kitchen and I'm not waking the footballer up since I know he must be tired from yesterday's game since he left straight to a party that he didn't take easy on plus everything that went down during the family game night.

- Honey, good morning - I heard Debbie speaking to me while placing her hand on my shoulder and I jumped a little scared since I was engrossed in a conversation with Kelly, my sister in law.

- Morning Debbie - I said getting up to meet her who were already in the kitchen - Can I help?

- If you really want to, but please don't feel obligated - She said and I denied shaking my head and getting the pan to make the eggs while she was making waffles - Mason still sleeping?

- Like a rock - I said laughing and she went along

- What woke you up?

- Messed up sleeping schedule I guess - I shrugged - I'm used to it

- Good morning amazing ladies - Mason said with a husk voice after a few minutes, kissing the top of his mother's head and hugging me from behind and planting a kiss on my cheek - Morning girlfriend - He whispered on my ear and I slapped his arm quickly seeing him laugh

- Grab the plates son - Debbie asked and he moaned complaining

- Stop complaining and hep Mount - I said and he raised his hands in surrender grabbing the plates while his mother laughed

- Keep her, she's perfect - I heard she whispering to his ear and that just made me feel even worst about the situation

One that wasn't affecting the player since the only reaction he expressed was to nod at her while smiling.
