Sunday, 30 May 2021.
Celebrating the Champions League win was the only thing scheduled by the players and the staff of Chelsea, sundays were not necessarily a party day, but the 30rd of May would certainly be an exception.
Mason was still as excited as the day before and the lunch they had with his family didn't help it die down. It was a one in a life time experience and to accomplish it at 22 years old made not only him, but his family emotional.
Charlotte understood it. She watched first hand her dad and most recently her brother competing, the sport may be different but the feeling is quite the same, at the end of the day, it's all based on the passion held by fans.
Even though the visit to the Mount's household was short, the entire family made their way to Cobham, where the party in honor of the victory was about to be held.
It seemed insane how quickly they transformed a training ground in almost a club with outside barbecue and a lot, lot of drinks.
- I'm so proud of you - Lottie smiled hugging Christian who smiled back at her
- Thank you for being there since bvb days - He squeezed her harder
- Hey, don't injure me, I have Monaco this weekend, need to be in my best form - She sighed
- You don't want to go? - He asked and she shook her head
- I do, of course I do, is just that Mason is probably coming and so is his parents, Declan, his parents and his girlfriend, it kinda of adds more pressure - She shrugged and he chuckled
- Lottie, your family already loves the dude, he loves them and yes, he's going to be inside a part of your life that he's never been before, but trust me, when I went it only made me admire more your passion for it - He explained and she smiled - Made me laugh a lot about you hating a few parts of the media, but is entertaining
- Jeez, with that, I'm going to bother my boyfriend - She rolled her eyes but did leave after seeing Jess approaching, knowing Christian wouldn't be left alone.
Somehow talking to Christian made her nerves a little less, but they were still there, and she knew they would eventually come back.
She was inside Mason's world from day one, nothing was possible for her to miss, unfortunately a part of her world involved a sport that travels to a different country almost every weekend and with his football it isn't something he's capable of visiting.
With the small break before Euro's would start, she had decided to take on the invite of her family, take Mason to Monaco.
Monaco was a race she never missed, not only because it was one of the most talked about, even though some track action could be boring, but because she had to be in certain events along with Max and after all these years she still was involved in it, being a Verstappen was almost a way in without a way out.
