Mason POV

- Mason? - Charlotte said as soon as she opened the door and I smiled

- Hey, I brought food - I said raising the bags of take out - Can I come in?

- Sure... what did I do to deserve this treatment? - She said looking confused but still setting the bags in the kitchen island and organizing everything

- I just wanted to reach out so I was going to text you, but Christian showed the picture your best friend posted and then explained how your work sucks so... I thought why not - I said smiling at the girl looking confused in front of me

- God, Lottie is good at hiding stuff - Christian mumbled making us look at him confused

- What do you mean? - Timo asked confused

- She looks fine in this photo like she isn't exhausted, right? - Christian asked while his phone was passing around all of us

- She looks like she could go to a club and be fine - Jorginho agreed

- Yeah, I had lunch with her and she already was feeling awful and tired - He sighed - Her boss is an asshole who overworks her and on top of that she still has uni, I bet she's barely sleeping - He explained

- Thanks... I needed this - She said seating on the floor in front of her coffee table

- You can never go wrong with Chinese food - I smiled - What do you want to watch?

- You choose - She said opening the yakisoba and digging in

And just like that we were watching avengers infinity war, something I realized the girl next to me seemed to love.

- Fucking hell - She said wiping her eyes after crying for minutes - That's ridiculous

- Come here - I said pulling her into my chest - I need to be a good fake boyfriend

- Then let me rest fake boyfriend - She said resting her head on my legs while I started caressing her hair - I'm going to fall asleep like this

- I don't mind. You need to rest

- Jokes aside, thanks for today Mase - She told me - Also, I need your grandpa's phone number

- Schedule the encounter? - I asked since Christian had mentioned and she looked confused at me - Pulisic commented something about it

- Yeah, you coming along? - I nodded agreeing - That's fair, I met your family, you also need to be in the hot seat.

- Oh, so that's why I'm going - I said tickling her

- MOUNT STOP - She screamed laughing and punching my arm

- Jeez, calm down Lottie

- I'm ticklish, what did you expect? - She looked mad at me and I smirked pretending to go tickle her again - Don't do it. Now let me lay down again, it was comfortable.

Charlotte was curled up in the couch fast asleep with her head in my legs, it took me a while to realize the blonde girl was sleeping but after hearing her soft breathing it was quite obvious she was finally resting.

I felt succesful after today's outcome, I didn't expect such a warm welcome from her but I certainly enjoyed how tonight went, I was even more sure about how special Charlotte was.

She's shy, not in a bad way, she can socialize and when she's comfortable around people she's the most social butterfly to ever exist and I was glad I was able to experience that side of her in the few moments she wasn't being shy and holding back.

Charlotte definitely was someone I wasn't going to let go anytime soon and tonight just gave me the last sign that this was the right decision I needed.

The one thing I need to decided is if the reason I want her in my life is because she's such an amazing friend or because the weekend I had her as my girlfriend - even being fake one - I really enjoyed it, way more than I thought I would.
