I shut my eyes tightly as I took another blow to the stomach, and then another two to the face. One by one, they took it in turns to kick me. Punch me. Laugh at me as they hurt me. They were training for battle. A rogue had managed to sneak on to our territory and had killed a mother and her child. Or at least we assumed it was her child. Either way, I just thanked the lord that it wasn't my mother who was killed. I don't know what I would've done if that was my mother. I probably would've let them kill me as they practised . But then again, I guess they do that already. With every punch, every kick, that I get, a part of me dies inside. But I guess that's what I get for being the packs weakest wolf. So, because of that, and the fact that the rogue was apart of a massive rogue pack, they were using me to train, as they always did.

I looked up slowly, my eyes full of tears. My brother was staring back at me, his face dull and sad. "I'm sorry..." he muttered under his breath and then he raised his fist. I closed my eyes once again before my whole body shook with pain. Letting out a loud scream, I began sobbing, feeling completely helpless as my own brother continued to hit me over and over.

"Shut up, you stupid bitch!" A voice sneered. Opening my eyes, I was now staring at the Alpha. Wes. A tear fell from my eye and he threw his head, erupting in laughter.

"I will find you.."

.

I woke up drenched in a sweat. My clothes were damp and my hair and pillows were wet. I felt disgusting. Riley came running in to my room, his hair sticking out in all directions.

"What's wrong?" He asked in a panic. He dashed over to my bed and sat down, pulling the covers off of my body.

"I-I had a dream... Well, it was more like a nightmare actually. I was in another pack.. They were beating me but I.. I don't know why.. And my brother was there.. He was hitting me too. Over and over. It wouldn't stop," I cried, "he wouldn't stop!"

"Shh," Riley cooed softly. I don't think he dared touch me because of how sweaty I was, "It's okay, I'm here now."

"Why did I see that? It seems so... So real.."

"That's because it was," he stated mater of factly.

.

After Riley explained to me that now my wolf has woken up I'll be getting these weird dreams, and that all of the dreams I'll be having for the next few nights are real, I took a cold shower. My head couldn't process the information that I'd just taken in, and because it's only five in the morning it made it a little worse. I was still majorly tired so my brain wasn't fully functioned properly.

I was now sat in the kitchen in my black tracksuit bottoms and black Nike hoodie, eating a full tub of ice cream. Or at least it was full. Now it's almost empty.

"If I may, Luna Blair," a voice said from behind me, "I can make you some breakfast if you'd like? Ice cream isn't exactly the healthy option at seven o'clock in the morning." the person laughed a little, but you could hear the nervousness in their voice.

"You don't have to do that for me," I said kindly, "and I'm not the Luna yet." I'd recently learnt that for me and Riley to officially become Alpha and Luna, we had to... Mate. But everyone still insists on calling me Luna.

I turned around to actually look at the person standing behind me. It was a young girl, a few years younger than me, with dark brown hair that fell just above her hips and her eyes were a bright hazel colour. Her skin was pale but still looked natural against her light hair, and her lips were a deep shade of red which really stood out against her pale skin, and I assumed it was mostly lipstick. All in all, she was very pretty.

"You can just call me Blair," I smiled at her and saw her features soften. She looked less nervous now. "What's your name?"

"Octavia Williams."

"That's so cute! So... Unique." She smiled and I saw her cheeks redden a little. She came over and sat down on the stool next to me, "so what place do you have in this pack? What's your title? Another Alpha's daughter? Beta's daughter?"

She shook her head, "if I was the Alpha's daughter, wouldn't I have the same last name?"

I nodded, laughing a little bit, "I didn't think about that.. So what is it then?"

Octavia sighed, "I was an Alpha's daughter, but in a different pack," she started slowly, "I was ten years old when it happened. My mum and my dad were fighting, but it wasn't the first time. They would shout at each other every night over nothing. One time, I actually saw my dad raise his fist at my mum... Just before he could do anything though, he spotted me hiding around a corner watching him. My mum was hunched in a corner, crying her eyes out until she looked at me. She tried to put on a brave face and smiled at me. 'Go' she told me, 'go to bed, I'll be up in a minute'. Me being a kid, I nodded and left' but I stayed hidden on the stairs--"

"You don't have to tell me this.." I mumbled when I noticed how upset she was getting over it.

She shook her head and continued, "I stayed on the stairs, waiting for her, and that's when I heard the noises. I peeped round the staircase and my dad.. He was hitting my mum, over and over. 'mum' I yelled. When my father saw that I hadn't gone to bed like I was told, he growled 'get that stupid kid out of here!' he shouted at my mum. Cowardly, she nodded, got up and ran over to me. She took me upstairs and closed my bedroom door. She told me that I needed to get away from the pack. She told me it wasn't safe for me. So while my dad was occupied, she ran downstairs with me and pushed me out the front door. She told me to run and that she loves me. Just before she closed the door to continue her beating, she whispered 'I'll find you again, even if it kills me' little did I know that was actually the last time I would see her... It took me a few moments to process what was actually going on but I done as I was told and ran. I don't know how long it was, but eventually I was on new territory and Payton found me. They took me in, treated me as if I was born in to the pack. They're all so nice.."

I watched her slowly, my heart aching as I saw a single tear fall from her eyes, "Payton found me too. I guess we kind of came in to this pack in the same sort of way... How old are you?"

"Fourteen."

"So you've been here for four years? Have you heard from your mother since you've been here?"

Octavia shook her head, "she died... A member of my old pack came and told me a year after I'd left. They said she died of some sort of cancer. But I knew they were lying.. I knew it was because of my dad. I could see the lies behind his eyes."

"I'm Sorry.. I shouldn't have asked.."

"No, it's fine," she wiped her eyes, leaving black marks from where she was wearing mascara, "it feels good to talk it out with somebody."

"Well, just know, even though I'm going to be Luna soon, you can always talk to me about anything," I said honestly, giving her a smile.

"Thanks, Luna," she said. I raised my eyebrows and she laughed, "Blair. Thanks Blair."

"It's alright. Now, how about a proper breakfast?"

.

So, after writing this chapter I was thinking of making a spin-off book about Octavia? About what she went through and stuff, you know? But I just wanted to know if anyone would actually read it? I won't post it yet or anything, it'll probably take me some time to do it and post it, probably once I've finished this book maybe, but if no one's going to read it then there is no point in me actually writing it. So if you would like a spin-off on Octavia's life, comment below.
