I turned around slowly, my breath hitched in my throat as I stared at the current Luna. Her hands were on her hips and her eyes bored in to mine challengingly

"Riley," she nodded towards her son who growled in response. Why, I don't know because I'd always thought that that the Alpha and Luna would always be close to their son to teach him the ways of leading. But clearly that wasn't what this family does.

"Mother," he acknowledged her in the same cold tone she had used with him.

"I see you've found your mate," she threw another disgusted look my way and I rolled my eyes. "An Omega."

"She may be an Omega mum but she's my mate, and I wouldn't want her any other way." Riley said firmly and slipped his hand in to mine, rubbing his thumb over the top.

"I will not allow an Omega to take my place as future Luna," she said confidently, "reject her."

.

I sat up in my bedroom, legs crossed and fiddling with my thumbs while I replayed everything that went on earlier in my head. Did Riley's mum seriously have that much of a problem with me being an Omega that she wanted her own son to reject her future Luna? I mean, yeah I know I wasn't the strongest person in my pack but she could at least show a little respect towards me. She didn't have to like me but she could at least accept the fact that I will be the Luna whether she likes it or not.

"Blair?" A head popped round the door and Sapphire came walking in. "Can we have a sleepover tonight?" She twisted on her feet like you see little girls do in movies when they've either done something or want something from their parents, batting her eyelashes.

"Sure, why not?" I laughed, "lets go get your stuff and we can sit in here and watch movies, how does that sound?"

"That sounds good!" She squealed, "come on!"

I rolled my eyes and followed after her as she ran, skipped and jumped until we got to her room. The light pink door stood out from all the other plain white ones, even though it was a very light pink, but you could easily tell it was hers. It was decorated so pretty and girly just like her. She twisted the door handle and pushed it open. As expected, her room was exactly like the door; pink everywhere. The walls were a deep pink except for the one wall where her bed was, that was the same colour as her door, a very light, almost white, door. The carpet surrounding the bedroom floor was a delicate cream while a pink circle shaped rug lay in the middle of the room. The rest of the room was then covered in toys and stuffed animals.

"I'm ready!" She tugged at my hand and smiled up at me.

"Come on, then," I smiled back at her and we both walked out. I closed the door behind me and we both made our way back to my room.

"What movie do you want to watch?" I asked, taking her little bag from her and putting beside my bed.

"What ones do you have?"

I walked over to my cabinet and sat down, "uhm... I have... The Little Mermaid Trilogy, Frozen, Peter Pan, and... just about any Disney movie you can imagine," I craned my neck to look back over a her, "guess you can say I have a bit of a soft spot for Disney movies."

"Can we watch Frozen!?" She exclaimed, jumping up and down on the bed.

"I was hoping you'd choose that one, it's my favourite," I giggled and grabbed the movie and stood up. I took it out of the case and put in to the side of the flat screen TV on my shelf. After pressing play and setting the film up I sat down on my bed, leaning against the wall and Sapphire sat down next to me. "Do you know the words to the songs?" I asked her, looking down at her. She nodded and I laughed, "me too."

.

.

.

"Let it go, let it go, can't hold it back any more!" Me and Sapphire both sang at the top of our voices as Elsa played around with her powers and built her massive ice castle. For a 5 year old, she had quite the singing voice; I was actually amazed at how well she sang.

But then there was a knock at my door.

"Come in!" I called while Sapphire kept singing, but more quietly this time. The door opened slightly and Payton popped his head round, fully walking in when I motioned for him to come in.

"Luna Blair," he greeted me with a nod of his head, "Alpha Riley has told me to inform you there were wolves circling our border," he paused and I nodded for him to continue, "they're in the cells in the basement.." he took in a deep breath, preparing to say the words I'd hoped I'd never hear, "they're from your old pack."

.

So.. I woke up this morning and came on here to find I have 3K reads on this book! What the fuck!? I honestly can't believe how many of you are actually taking your time to read this and how many of you continue to read every update I have. It literally means the absolute world to me that you're continuing to read and continuing to love every update I have. Literally, just yesterday I had 2K and now it's 3? I honestly can't contain my excitement so here's a chapter to thank you all.
