"How are you feeling?" Naomi asked me and sat down on my bed. For the rest of the week I was put on serious bed rest to gain back the strength my body needed. I'd asked Naomi to watch over me the past few days because after that boy, who's name I now know as Riley, told me I was a werewolf and that we're mates I thought he was crazy and told him to stay away from me. I know that's a little harsh but come on, werewolves? They were just stupid creatures in the silly little stories that my parents used to tell me when I was little.
"Lost in your own little world?" Naomi teased.

"Sorry," I laughed, "I'm feeling better. Still a little shaky but nothing too bad."

"So, you really don't remember anything, huh?" She asked.

I shook my head," nothing."

She sighed and nodded her head a little, "Riley really misses you. He hates not talking to you."

"He doesn't know me." I quickly objected.

"Believe me," she started and stood up. She started walking towards the door and opened it, then turned and looked back at me, "he knows more about you than you think." and then she left.

I sunk down in to the bed and furrowed my eyebrows. How could he possible know me when I don't even know him?

I decided to just ignore it all and go to sleep for a little while to try and clear my head.

I aimlessly wandered around the massive house looking at all the family portraits, group pictures and arty drawing and paintings hanging on the walls.

I noticed that one photo was the family from the hospital room thing, plus Naomi, standing outside the Disney castle.

"That was last year. We decided to take Sapphire to Disney Land for her birthday." I spun around at the sound of a deep male voice behind me. "It's actually my favourite picture of all of us together."

"What are you doing? I thought I told you and your stupid little stories to leave me alone."  I said to Riley and walked in the other direction, away from him.

"They're not stories!" He argued. "Just.. Come with me. I want to show you something," he grabbed my hand gently and pulled me back. "Please."

I sighed, "fine."

His face lit up and he pulled me through the house, out through the forest and in to some clearing surrounded by trees. Something about this place seemed oddly familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I was soon pulled out of my slightly confused thoughts when I saw Riley taking off his tshirt which was soon follow by his trousers.

"Woah, what are you doing?" I exclaimed, covering my eyes. Although I couldn't help but peek through the gaps in between my fingers at the practically naked boy stood in front of me.

"I'm showing you something." he kicked his shoes off and walked away from me.

"I think I'll pass on that, thanks." I said and was about to walk away when Riley started running towards me at an increasing speed. "What are you..." I screamed as Riley came rushing towards me and I ducked down to the ground, covering my eyes.

The next thing that happened was what scared me the most.

A loud growl came from beside me and something nudged my side. Hesitantly I looked up and screamed again.

A giant dog like animal was stood in front of me, easily towering over me.

"Okay, you can wake up now.." I mumbled to myself, "wake up!"

A split second later the giant animal was a human again and Riley was stood in front of me.

"This isn't real... I'm dreaming..." I breathed out and pinched myself.

Nothing.

"This isn't a dream," Riley walked closer to me, "this is.. was your reality. And as soon as your wolf wakes up it will be again."

"I'm dreaming.." I repeated.

"You're not dreaming!" Riley exclaimed. "Look, you need to accept the fact that this is you. You are a werewolf, Blair."

I furrowed my eyebrows and lifted my hand up to my neck, letting my fingers trace over the still painful cut,

"That's where Payton tried to mark you," Riley clenched his fists, "that's where I'm supposed to mark you. That's what caused all of this."

"Mark?"

He nodded, "it's something a male wolf does to his mate so that other males know to stay away."

"So whose mate am I? Yours or Payton's?" I asked. This was really confusing me and my head was beginning to hurt.

"Mine." he smiled proudly and I felt something flutter in my stomach. "Payton only tried to mark you because he's lonely. He should have found his mate already, but he hasn't."

"Why?"

He shrugged and held my hand, "she's out there, I know it. But she might not have found her wolf yet which is why they haven't found each other yet. I don't know."

"Oh."

Riley grabbed my other hand and pulled me closer to him, "promise me as soon as your wolf wakes up, you'll tell me."

"Riley, I--"

"Promise me." He begged.

"I promise."
