Chapter Twenty-One

The medium length grass flattened underneath my feet, feeling cold yet oddly soothing. Riley stood behind me with his hand connected to mine again. The first thing he done when he had opened the door, after my taking my blind fold off, was reattaching our hands.

"You're honestly the best person ever!" I grinned widely at him, the cool wind blowing through my hair, sending it flying all around me. I may have been exaggerating just a tad when I said he was the best person ever, but he let me outside after my constant nagging; the least I could do was tell him that.

"Blair...?" Riley said slowly. I turned to look at him and when I did, he had his free hand in his pocket and his bottom lip pulled between his teeth, looking down at the ground nervously.

I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his torso, resting my head on his chest and looking up at him. "Yeah? What is it?"

"Will..." He muttered under his breath, his voice shaky. I could just about tell where this was going and I had to contain my excitement as I watched him try to utter out the words. "Will you go on a date with me?" He rushed out. "Like, a proper date. Like normal people."

As I thought about it I realised I had never actually been out on a date. In fact, I'd never been within an inch of a male in my old pack unless they were throwing punches at me.

I just stood there looking at Riley before I suddenly snapped back in to reality and smiled, nodding my head, "I would love too!"

"What are you going to wear!?" Octavia exclaimed, her dirty blonde locks bouncing around her as she jumped up and down excitedly. She was overjoyed when I had asked her to help me pick out an outfit to wear. Obviously I had Sapphire here with me as well. The little one just wouldn't leave me alone.

Riley had decided to have our date the same day he had asked me. Personally, I thought it was a little too soon but if he had it all planned out then I had absolutely no problem with it. To be quite honest though, I would have been happy with just sitting and watching a movie while stuffing our faces with junk food. That's what normal people do, right?

"I have absolutely no idea!" I whined as I dramatically flopped back on to my bed, just missing Sapphire.

"Hey!" She whined, "you almost squashed me!"

Sitting up and ruffling her hair, I laughed, "Sorry. But are you squashed right now?" She shook her head and I nodded firmly, chuckling, "Exactly." Before I could say anything else Saph jumped on me and started wiggling around, her adorable little laugh filling the room.

It was then that I heard a cough coming from the door. Saph immediately stopped what she was doing and our heads snapped up to where the noise had come from.

Riley and Saph's mother was standing with her hands on her hips and a scowl on her face.

"Come in," I said awkwardly, "if you'd like," I then quickly added and gently judged Saph off me, standing up and straightening out my clothes and hair. I had to get her to like me so I was trying to be as polite as I possibly could. I mean, she was still the Luna.

"So," her cold voice spoke as she stepped inside the room, the air suddenly growing thicker. "I hear you're going on a date with my son. Is that correct?"

I nodded my head and mumbled a quiet "yes, Luna." She smiled at that. A wicked smile I might add.

"Well then in that case, you're going to need something to wear," she said and pulled a dress out from behind her back. It was absolutely beautiful, but I couldn't help thinking why she was being nice to me all of a sudden. I thought she hated me because I was an Omega?

"Thank you, ma'am," I bowed my head in submission to her, "but why are you doing this?"

She walked closer to me and out her hand on my upper arm, "I may not be particularly keen on the fact that you're an omega, but you are my sons mate," she said and I smiled warmly at her, "and you must look absolutely divine on your first date with him." Maybe she was growing to like me after all.

"Thank you," I smiled, taking the dress from her and laying it out on my bed. She nodded with a tight smile and then walked out of the room, mumbling something to herself. And thanks to my wolf hearing I managed to hear what she was saying. And I wasn't sure if I liked what I was hearing...
