"ellie what is this?" i question as i open my eyes and take a quick peek at our surroundings.
"hushhhh and close your eyes! you're ruining it," she swats at me.
i roll my eyes with a laugh, "i just wanna know. you've had this planned for weeks."
she pauses, "how do you know that?"
i can't help but smirk, "heard a little phone conversation between you and anna."
"ugh you're the worst. c'mon we're almost there."
"it's cold as fuck-"
"- stop complaining! or i'll leave you in the snow."
"that's cute."
i hear her groan in annoyance; i love getting her all riled up.
after another minute she stops and moves in front of me. i feel her place her hands on either side of my face, her somehow warm hands on my cold cheeks.
"okay you can open your eyes now."
when i do so, i raise my eyebrows in surprise at the multiple cabins in front of us.
"ariella," i start before looking down at her once she removes her hands and holds them out in a 'ta-da' motion.

she bites her lip, "do you like?"
"of course but why are there so many cabins?"
she grins, "well for tonight it's just me and you because i want some alone time. our friends will be joining us tomorrow afternoon up until new years!"
"wait you're serious?" an overwhelming feeling of pure happiness hits me. damn i'm lucky.
"duh! now let's go pick our room. personally i want the best one so-" she starts rambling as i follow her into the middle cabin, the biggest one.
"oh shit there's a jacuzzi fuck yeah," i say, pausing to look inside the beautiful entrance.
the first room is pretty open. the jacuzzi sits to the left with glass windows all around so that we have a perfect view of the snowy mountains and trees.
