"if that's okay with you. i honestly just think it's a smarter move for us. that way you can focus on tour and i can focus on myself.. and i can work on being ready for us when you get home," i explain to him.

he sighs and steps forward, taking my hands in his. he brings my right hand up to his lips and presses a kiss there, "okay fine. i can agree to that.. but expect an amazing date when i get back. i want to properly ask you to be my girlfriend again."

i laugh, "that sounds nice."

"at least this gives me time to plan something."

i wrap my arms around his torso, "look at us being mature."

"i know. we're adulting."

i snort and he teases me, "how cute."

"no stop, shut up."

"can i still text and call you? i don't think i can go a whole month without speaking to you..." he pulls back, his hands on my forearms.

"yeah definitely. thank you dani for being understanding."

"of course. i know i've been real extra lately - especially with the whole proposal thing. when you said no, i kinda thought that was it for us. but i'll do anything to keep you in my life. you're worth it."

i lean up to kiss his cheek, "i promise this will be worth it."

he nods and we stand in silence, wrapped in each other's embrace.

"one day you'll marry me though."

"i can't with you," i laugh and shove him.
