"hey..." corbyn greets once i answer his facetime call. his appearance matches mine; puffy, swollen eyes and messy hair.

"hi."

he lets out a jagged breath, "she broke up with me. i told her that it happened when our relationship was on break but she wouldn't listen. she said that it still counts as cheating and that she hates me. she hates me."

he sounds heartbroken.

"i'm so sorry," i sniffle.

"she um... she told me that she hopes it was worth ruining everything. ella, she brought up a good point. she said that when daniel finds out it could ruin the band. i-i can't let that happen. God i ruined it all," he starts sobbing and i don't know what to say.

"corbs.. hey calm down. take some deep breaths," i try to get through to him once he starts hyperventilating.

"the band, i-it's all i have left now ariella."

"i know. i know."

"she's going to tell him. that was the last thing she said to me before hanging up."

i close my eyes, praying that this is only a nightmare, "i have to tell him. it should come from me."

"ella-"

"i'm sorry, i have to go. just.. stay strong okay? you don't need to worry about anything. i'll talk to you soon," i hang up the phone before he can say anything else.
