Pyro and the Hulk (book 2: B. Banner X OC)

"At long last' is lasing a little long, boys." Nat said through the coms as I take down another bunker. Jace manipulated the snow around us to create a small blizzard, distracting a group while he stunned them. 

Clint agrees with her with light sarcasm "Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise." and of course Tony couldn't help but add in his two cents "Wait a second. No one else is gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said 'Language'?" I roll my eyes even though he can't see me and turn round to see Hulk shielding us.  Taking out the agents that were firing at us, I turn to Hulk and he crouches down letting me place my hand on his cheek while he gently pats Jace on the head making him smile. "MY BUTTERFLY, BABIES." He greets us and I place a kiss on his cheek at how adorable he is being, while Jace starts to climb up onto his shoulders hugging his head. I laugh at my two boys as they start making faces at each other. Only our family could stop in the middle of a battle to mess around feeling content. 

I tune back into the conversation as I watch Steve in the distance flip the bike over his head and into a car, effectively getting rid of a few agents. "I know, Just slipped out" 

The three of us get back into the fight a few moments later I hear Steve's voice through the coms. !We have an Enhanced in the field." Before Nat's panicked voice comes through "Clint's hit" 

Without thinking I grab Jace and run in their direction. I see a blue and silver streak past me, The emotions coming off them almost knocked me off my feet. There were so many at once it was dizzying. Shrugging it off for now I keep going. When I reach Clint I turn Jace to face away as I heal him enough that he won't pass out from blood loss. "Clint I need my energy so I can't heal you fully. This is as much as I can do. Nat you stay with him and make sure he doesn't pass out. I have to go help Tony."

They both nod and Clint squeezes my hand in thanks and understanding before I leave with Jace to find Tony. "Uncle Tony, Mommy and I are coming to save you" Tony and I both laugh as Jace does an impression of Steve. I can practically feel the others smiling while rolling their eyes. 

"Stark, we really need to get inside." As Steve says that I reach Tony and continues to follow his lead. "We are closing in." Tony tells him as he shoots at a few agents. "JARVIS. Am I closing in?"

I roll my eyes at him and resist the erg to hit the back of his head. I talk to JARVIS next, trying to speed things up a little after all it was getting late and the kids would be getting hungry again soon. "Hey J, do you see a power source for that shield?"

"Miss Hunter, There is a particle wave below the north tower."

"Great I want to poke it with something" I knock down a few more agents along with Jace before we head for the north tower. "Tony whatever you are going to do can you hurry up, its way past lunch time and no one has eaten since breakfast." 

"The drawbridge is down, people" I could hear the smugness in his voice. I fly in behind Tony with Jace on my back. Steve and Thor's voice background noise in my ear. I am pulled out of my thoughts when I hear Tony's joking tone. "And for gosh sake watch your language" I smile at his teasing tone as I hear Steve sigh tiredly. "That's not going away anytime soon."

Tony crashes through a window and I hold back so the agents inside open fire. Pressing my back against the wall I hold Jace to my side, Lilly was still dancing around in her suit,  as I wait for Tony to deal with them. "Guys, stop. We gotta talk this through. okay good talk" Tony pauses in the middle and fires back it them before continuing. 

Once there are no more shots I fly through the window frame with Jace. I chuckle when I hear a solider on the floor whimper "No it wasn't". 

Tony and I continue on until we find what we are looking for. I watch as Tony blasts a scientist out of the way before stepping out of his suit and putting it in sentry mode. 

"Okay. JARVIS, you know. I want it all. Make sure you copy Hill at HQ" Tony starts messing around with the computers while I walk around the room looking at everything. Jace had gotten tiered of walking and was now in my back, taking a break. If it wasn't for weight training with Clint and Steve I probably would be having trouble walking around with Jace and Lilly's weight on me. It also helped that they were both pretty light for their age. Shocking considering how much they ate. 

Looking around and notice a few things about the room that didn't quite fit in with everything else I speak the JARVIS without turning around "Hey J, give me an IR scan of the room, real quick" 

A red light scans over the room as JARVIS does what I ask. "The wall to your left miss. I'm reading steel reinforcement and an air current." I walk over the the wall that JARVIS was talking about and feel Tony follow me, I can hear him whisper "Please be a secret door" over and over before I push a part of the wall open. Looking at Tony over my shoulder I can't help but smile at his excited look as he practically bounces on his feet in childish glee. He gives a small "Yay!" that makes Jace laugh when the wall opens revealing a tunnel and steps. 

Just as we exit the tunnel Steve speaks through the coms. "I've got Strucker" Tiny and I both look up in shock when we see one on the Chitauri suspended from the ceiling above us. "Yeah, we've got something bigger." I step forward and place a hand on Tony's shoulder and send him some comfort. I was the only one on the team other the Bruce that knew about his nightmares and PTSD, that he refused to talk about to anyone and deny all knowledge about.
