Pyro and the Hulk (book 2: B. Banner X OC)

Nat looks over at us before calling over to Thor, who was standing with Steve. "Thor what's the report on Hulk"

Thor looks over at her with a proud smile. "The gates of Hel are filled with the screams of his victims" I laugh as Nat gives him a look. Thor realizing what he had done wrong tried to back pedal "Not the screams of the dead of course of course. No, no wounded screams. Mainly whimpering, a great deal of complaining and tales of sprained deltoids and gout."

I feel Bruce press his head into my hair as he tries not to laugh. Thor finally decides to stop talk and turns back to the computers, glaring at  Steve who was attempting not to laugh at the now awkward god. 

Tony gets Bruce's attention "Hey, Banner, Dr. Cho is on her way in from Seoul. Is it okay if she sets up in your lab?" Bruce pulls his face out of my hair after placing a kiss on my neck and faces Tony. "Uh, Yeah, she knows her way around."

"Thanks" I knew that even before he asked Bruce he had already given the go ahead to Cho. I had meet her a few times, she was very sweet and passionate about her work, plus it was hilarious watching her reaction every time Thor entered the room. She would always turn from a confident scientist to a blushing, blubbering mess.

Tony gets up from his seat and walks over to Thor, both of them look down at the sceptre. "Feels good, yeah? I mean, you've been after this thing since S.H.I.E.L.D. collapsed. Not that I haven't enjoyed out little raiding parties, but..." 

"No, but this... This brings it close."

"As soon as we find out what else this has been used for. I don't just mean weapons. Since when is Strucker capable of human enhancement?" Steve joins them

"Banner and I will give it the once over before it goes back to Asgard. Is that cool with you? Just a few days till the farewell party. You're staying, right?" Tony turns to Thor as he talks. 

"Yes, yes, of course. A victory should be honoured with revels." 

"Yeah, who doesn't love revels? Captain?" Tony makes a poke at Steve, as always. Steve, being used to it simply ignores it. "Hopefully this puts and end to the Chitauri and Hydra. So, yes, revels." Tony looks slightly annoyed that he wasn't getting to Steve, while Steve just smirks happily. Further annoying the billionaire. 

We finally arrive at the tower and JARVIS lands us on the platform before baking up. The moment the Jet opens up members of Dr. Cho's team come and push Clint into the lab While Cho orders them around in Korean. Nat followed closely behind.

Hill walks on to the Jet and looks to Tony. "Labs all set up boss."

"Actually he's the boss. I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler." 

Steve stands up and walks with Hill, Bruce and I join them. "What's the word on Strucker?" Hill hands him a tablet before answering "NATO's got him."

"And the Enhanced?"

"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins. Orphaned at 10 when a shell collapsed their apartment building." I pause when I hear that and Bruce squeezes my hand in comfort while Steve and Hill continue on. Not noticing my reaction. 

That's why I felt understanding from them. They lost their family in the same way as I did. I feel a tightening in my chest and push away the erg to get back on the jet and fly to them. "You going to be okay, Honey?" I nod my head at Bruce. "Come on we need to but the little ones to bed."

After they are put to bed we go to out room and get changed. I switched oy my suit for Jet black jumpsuit, gold belt and animal print heels. The top of the Jumpsuit was open cut with a somewhat deep neckline. Bruce changed into his usual style of slacks, a button up and comfortable trainers. As I stand in front of the mirror brushing my hair he comes over and wraps his arms around my waist while resting his chin on my shoulder. "How did I get so lucky to have such an amazing girl at my side?"

"You were sweet, kind, smart and adorably awkward" I tell him with a teasing smile before setting down my brush and turning in is arms. Placing my arms around the back on his neck he continues "No really, Not only do I have you, but you also gave me a family. That's not something I ever thought I would get. I don't know what I would do without you and I don't plan on finding out" 

With that he lets go of me, takes a step back and gets down on one knee. My mouth drops open in shock as he takes my left hand and pulls out a rind. "These two years have been amazing and I can't think of ever letting that end, only making it better. So, Levi Evelyn Hunter will you do me the honour of becoming my wife? and before you say no I asked the kids for permission, they helped pick the ring" 

I feel tears spring to my eyes as I nod, not being able to find my words. Bruce gives me a relieved look as he slips the ring onto my finger. When he gets back to his feet I pull him down for a kiss. After a moment we pull away, the both of us with dopey smiles plastered across our faces. "How could I ever say no to you"

We stay in each others arms for a little while longer and I look at the ring over his shoulder. Words couldn't describe how much I loved it. The band was thin and and gold with 6 small diamond alternating from one side of the band to the other, there was an oval cut diamond in the centre. It wasn't over the top, but dainty yet gorgeous. Simple yet somehow intricate. It was exactly my style and fit me perfectly. 

After while we pull away, wishing we could stay like this but we both knew we were needed in the lab to check on an injured Clint. We both pull on our lab coats and Bruce picks up his tablet before making our way to everyone else. Our hands linked together. Before we enter the room I lifted his had up to me and placed a kiss on the back. I had found it was a way of calming down Bruce and Hulk without me having to use my powers.

Tony passes us "How's He doing?" I question him as Bruce looks over his tablet. "Unfortunately, He's still Barton"

I smile when Bruce replies "That's terrible"

"He's fine. He's thirsty" Tony continues walking and Bruce and I make our way up the step while Tony talks to JARVIS.
