When I finally wake up we were almost back in America and the kids and Bruce were no where to be found. I roll over and hear a crinkle of paper under my head I take the paper and read it. 

Having breakfast with the kids. Join us when you wake up.

I smile and get out of bed. I quickly shower and change into a set of workout gear since it was the last of the clothes that I had here, and jog to the canteen. I walk in and quickly bite my tongue when I see Pietro had glasses, a kitten nose and whisker drawn over his face in a thick black marker. I open my mouth to say something but Clint motions for me to stay silent. I shrug and join Bruce and the kids. I kiss each of them on the head. 

"Morning little one." I receive two very sleepy "Morning's in return. "Morning love. Feeling better?" I take the coffee mug from Bruce's hands and smile. "Much, thank you." We all eat breakfast together and I look around to see the rest of the team there, each looking as exhausted as the next. Pietro and Wanda came over to us and one point and both hugged me. "Thank you. If it wasn't for the suit I would be dead." I smile I place a motherly kiss on top of both their heads. "Anytime, little one. Anytime."

After we finish we all get called onto the bridge to talk about what happens next. When we do finally return home. There was a new facility waiting for us but Bruce and I decided to stay with the kids at the Stark tower. We would be there when we were needed but we also agreed that we wanted the kids to have some resemblance of a normal life. 

Wanda and Pietro decide to live at the facility with Vision so they could continue their training and learn to use their abilities more. I currently had Lily on my hip as I walked with Jace and Bruce at my side and Tony, Thor and Steve on the other. The three were currently discussing how Vision had lifted the hammer. 

"No, It's not like a person lifting the hammer." Tony says and Steve agrees with him "Right, different rules for us."

"Nice guy. Artificial."

"Thank you." I roll my eyes at them and take the hammer from Thor's hand. "That still doesn't explain me." I wave the hammer in his face tauntingly and he narrows his eyes but I could see the amusement.

Thor takes the hammer back with a polite smile "He can wield that hammer he can keep the Mind Stone. It's safe with the Vision. And these days, safe is in short supply."

We were all silent for a moment before Steve interrupts it "But if you put the hammer in an elevator..." he trails off on his thoughts and Tony points at him It would still go up."

"Elevator's not worthy" I roll my eyes, Thor joining me this time, at Steve's thought process. "I'm gonna miss these little talks of ours." Thor says as he rests his hand on Tony's shoulder.

"Not if you don't leave."

"I have no choice. The Mind Stone is the fourth of the Infinity Stones to show up in the last few years. It's not a coincidence. Someone has been playing an intricate game and has made pawns of us and once all these pieces are in position..." While Thor talks we continue walking until we are outside

"Triple Yahtzee" Tony buts in with his usual humour. "You think you can find out what's coming?" Steve asks, ignoring Tony

"I do. Besides this one, there's nothing that can be explained" The kids and I laugh when Thor says that about Tony. He steps away from us and the kids wave to him as he raises his hammer to the sky. A beam of brought rainbow coloured light beams down and engraves the grass.

"That man has no regard for lawn maintenance. I'm gonna miss him, though. And you've going to miss me. There's going to be a lot of manful tears"

"I will miss you Tony." Steve says as we walk Tony to his car. Bruce takes the kids and gets them strapped into the jeep while I stay to say goodbye.

"Yeah. Well, it's time for me to tap out. Maybe I should take a page out of Barton's book. Build Pepper a farm, hope nobody blows it up."

"The simple life"

"You'll get that one day."

"I don't know. Family, Stability. The guy who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. I think someone else came out" Tony nods and gets into his car, driving off. I wave as he does, knowing I would see him in a few hours anyway. I turn to Steve and pull him in for a hug. "You going to be okay?"

"I'm home." I smile and pat is cheek. "You ever need us, we're a call away. And do me a favour. Watch out for the twins for me when I'm not here. They're great kids."

"Will do." I kiss his cheek and climb into the passenger side. The four of us wave and Bruce drive off. Bruce takes my hand in his and kisses the back with a smile

"Let's go home."
