Pyro and the Hulk (book 2: B. Banner X OC)

We continue on into the room and I leave Tony to handle his own thing while I see what else Strucker had hidden down here. There was pieces of robotics everywhere, along with many failed attempts are recreating the Ironman suit. 

"Thor I got eyes on the prize" I knew Tony meant that he had found the sceptre. Turing to see where he was I notice a brown haired girl standing behind him, red wisps were coming from her hands. This must be the Enhanced girl Steve mentioned a minute ago. The girl couldn't be more than 16 or 17. 

I don't interfere since I didn't want to make things worse. That and I it was unknown what her powers were, or what she was doing to Tony. I could see she wasn't hurting him so I wasn't panicking, Tony's emotions were mainly confused.

After a moment she steps away from Tony and moves to the shadows. I mute my side of the coms and slowly walk over to her. "Hi, you don't have to worry about me. I'm not going to hurt you. Either of you" I add on that last part when the other enhanced speeds into the room. Even though his hair was white and he had blue eyes, it was clear that the two were related and since they looked the same age I knew they were twins.

Thoughts of my own twin, Nick. Even though it had been 10 years since I lost him it still hurt when I thought of him. I focus back on the twins and step forward, the boy was about to run at me when his sister put her hand out stopping him. I took that as a sign and continued until I was only a few step away. 

They both seemed to relax slightly when the notice Jace clinging to my side although they looked confused when the see Lilly's suit attached to me. Pressing on the com I speak to her. "Sweetie can you pause the movie for a sec?" I try to ignore the slight flinch the twins gave when I lifted my arm, but I couldn't ignore the slight tightening in my chest at the reaction. 

"Okay Momma." once the sound of the movie pauses I disengage her helmet and pull if off revealing Lilly's now messy blonde hair. I smile at her and smooth her hair out before kissing her cheek. I turn back to the twins "This is my daughter Lilly and my son Jace" 

The twins both smile when Lilly shyly waves before pressing her face into my chest. Jace is a little more confident and goes up to them holding his hand out. The twins hesitate before each taking a chance to shake his hand "I am Pietro Maximoff and this is my sister Wanda." 

"Are you both like mommy and me?" I move over to him and kneel next to him while the twins look confused again. "Why don't you show them little cub?" Jace gets excited and starts forming small snowflakes around us. The twins look on amazed as Jace starts flying a small distance from the floor.

When he is done, all three turn to me. I roll my eyes at Jace's impatient look. I wave my hand over a computer near by that had a broken screen. The glass fixes itself before flickering to life. Next I create a small flame in the palm of my hand and turn it into a small lion cub that then runs around Jace. I also create a small butterfly that then flutters around Lilly. I smile as Jace and Lilly both laugh trying to grab them. I step closer to Wanda and gently take her hand in mine.

All for of them watch me as my eyes swirl gold and my skin glows. I gently run my fingers over the bruising on Wanda's arms. Her and Pietro look on in awe as tendrils of gold light swirl under the skin, removing the the purplish marks. Once she is healed I step back. 

"I can also an empath and can create forcefields and. 10 years ago there was an explosion that killed my family. There was radiation involved and instead of killing me it bonded with my cells, mutating them. When I had Jace he ended up gaining my mutated cells, giving him powers of his own."

I decided that opening up to them, might make them trust me a little and it worked slightly. Both of their emotions turned from shock to understanding. For the first time Wanda speaks up "What about Lilly?" Her voice was quiet and unsure.

"I adopted her when she was a baby. Her mother died during the battle of New York. If she is gifted then it hasn't made itself known yet." I look down at Lilly as I talk. I had explained to her as best as I could that she was adopted when I found her crying last month because she didn't have 'magic' like her brother and I. Lilly was incredibly smart for her age and had understood me.

Lilly plays with the ends of my hair as she turns to look at the twins. She notices their sad looks and speaks up. "Don't me sad. Mommy is with the stars. I get to see her every night. now I have super momma!" Lilly waves her hands wildly as she says 'Super Momma' in a more theatrical tone. Wanda and Pietro both smile at her cuteness. 

Shockingly Wanda steps over to me and runs her hand through Lilly's hair. "She has such a beautiful mind" Her voice is just above a whisper. "I like your asent. it's cool" She laughs at Jace's mispronunciation of accent. By Pietro's shocked look I can tell that hearing his sister laugh was a rare occurrence. The thought of what these two must have gone through breaks my heart. 

I send Pietro some positive emotions to dull the negative once that were plaguing his mind.  "Momma, movie" 

"Okay, Flower. say by the Wanda and Pietro first." She waves her small chubby hand at them with a small toothy grin. "Bye bye" The twins wave back and I put on her helmet once more and lock it back in place. 

When I hear the click I also feel Tony snap out of what ever Wanda had done to him. Before I can say anything the twins give me one last look and Pietro picks Wanda up, speeding them away. 

Going over to Tony I grab Jace's hand and I take the Sceptre with the other. Tony shakes his head clearing his thoughts. We all get out of there. Tony puts his suit back on and grabs the USB that JARVIS was connected too. 

Once we were out of the base I give the sceptre to Tony and go find Hulk.
