"Dr. Cho it's good to see you again." I walk over and hung her in greeting "You too Agent Hunter." no matter how hard I tried I could never get her to call me by my first name

"Are you sure he's going to be okay?" Nat asks Dr. Cho as she watched the tissue on Clint's side start to reform. "Pretending to need this guy really brings the team together." Nat smirks at Clint's mock offended look.

"There's no possibility of deterioration. The nanomolecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with simulacra." Cho informs Nat, While Bruce starts to resemble a kid in a candy store.

"She's creating tissue." I smile at his happiness before turning back to Cho as she talks. "If you brought him to my lab, the Regeneration Cradle could do this in 20 minutes."

"Oh, he's flat-lining. Call it. Time?" I roll my eyes at Tony when he walks in, but thank him when he hands be a green smoothie. I have no idea what he puts in here but it actually tastes good. He hands another to Clint and Nat.

"No, no, no, I'm gonna live forever. I'm going to be made of plastic" Clint laughs while taking his drink, sending a thankful look to Tony.

"You'll be made of you, Mr. Barton. Your own girlfriend won't be able to tell the difference."

"I don't have a girlfriend" Nat and I look at each other briefly at his words.

"That I can't fix. This is the next thing, Tony. Your clunky metal suits are gonna be left in the dust."

"That is exactly the plan." I smile at the friendly competition between Cho and Tony. But I also knew that no Tony was going to try making another suit soon, better then the one before. "And, Helen, I expect to see you at the party on Saturday."

I can see that she was going to refuse so I spoke up, mentioning the one thing that would change her mind. "It's a farewell for Thor before he goes home." Cho blushes and sends me a mocking glare before turning to Tony. "Of course"

Tony leads Bruce into the Lab and I know to leave them be when there working so I head back to my room after saying good bye to the others.

The next three day had been relaxing and quiet. The only sound of destruction was the noises coming from Tony and Bruce's lab every now and then. The rest of us had hardly seen the two and the only time I got to spend with Bruce was at meal times where I would bring the boys food so they wouldn't starve.

Sometimes they would take a break and Bruce would spend the time with the kids and I, watching movies or helping Jace with his school work while I drew with Lilly.

Jace had been taking advanced lessons with Tony, Bruce and I since he was incredibly smart for his age, normal work for his age group was too easy. I was proud to admit that he was already at a middle school level and was close to moving on to high school level work.

When Saturday rolls around they finally leave the lab and join the outside world. They both looked tired and worn out. Nat and Clint were taking care of the kids for me.

"JARVIS can you play some music" the gentle strum of a guitar fills the room. We still had a few hours until the party so Bruce and I decided to relax together for a little while. We were both laying in bed, on top of the covers. I was snuggled into his side with my head on his chest while he played with my hair. We stayed like that until an hour before the party

"When should we tell the others about the engagement?" I break the quiet in the room

Bruce stay silent for a minute. "Well I guess we could tell them tonight. I know the party is a farewell to Thor, but he would want to know before he leaves."

"True, okay we'll tell them tonight, but we should really start getting ready" I sit up and lean over him, pressing my lips to his, He brings his hands up to my face and cups my cheeks. "I love you"

Bruce hums keeping his eyes closed "I love you too" He pulls me back down to me and kisses me again.

Standing up I walk into the closet and pick out a pair of leather trousers, a black strappy halter top and black stilettoes. The top draped elegantly over my chest and was completely open back, showing off the tattoo, of a water colour tree of life, at the base of my neck. The top was only held together by the straps that zigzagged across my back.

I change out of my jeans and hoodie and put on a robe over my underwear, since the top was backless I wouldn't be able to wear a bra, instead I wear a pair of petals.

Sitting down at my vanity I turn on the hair straighteners and do my make up while they heat. I had never been one to wear too much makeup so I stuck to eyeliner, blush, bronzer and a blood red lipstick.

By the time I'm done the straighteners are fully heated and I start to curl the front few pieces and put the rest up in a messy bun, leaving the curls out to frame my face. Satisfied with my look I get dressed.

Bruce had decided to get dressed into a black suit with a light blue shirt and black tie. He had finished getting ready before we and sat on the bed waiting for me. Wanting us to match a little I slip in a pair of teardrop sapphire earrings that Tony had gifted to me on my birthday last year.

Each one had a small oval sapphire surrounded my tiny diamonds attached to that was three bigger diamonds in a row that lead to a teardrop shaped sapphire that was lined with diamonds as well. All of it was set into silver.

After I'm done Bruce and I link arms and join the party. "You look breath-taking, Love" I smile and peck his lips, slightly staining them red. "You don't look so bad yourself"
