After leaving George you went straight to defense against the dark arts with professor lupin, to be perfectly honest you've been avoiding the class, you hated defense against the dark arts because all the teachers were so dim. Mcgonagall ended up switching you into the class to your despise.
" does anyone know what lies in this closet?" Lupin asked the class as you walked in.
" ah miss skyes, nice of you to join us" he said sarcastically.
"My pleasure" you said back standing in the back of the crowd.
He laughed at you instead of giving you detention, it confused you but you quickly snapped into the lesson when you heard the word "boggart" you hated boggarts. There was always a boggart upstairs at the burrow when you went and it always turned into your biggest fear. Snakes.
"Okay okay I want everyone to say it with me , riddikulus" everyone followed after lupins last word except for Draco Malloy.
" this class is ridiculous" he rolled his eyes.
" you got that right" you laughed at his words.
He looked at you and laughed. Everyone hated Draco, mainly because he was an absolute arse. But for some odd reason was nice to you. The twins hated the fact you guys had a mutual respect for each other. You never agreed with what Draco did and stood up to him a few times but he never tried to disrespect you. You somewhat had pity for Draco, every-time you seen him with his father he seemed as if he was afraid, unhappy even. You never treated him wrongly for that mere reason.
"I want you all to picture the thing you feared the most and turn it into something, funny! Longbottom!" Lupin called the boy to the front.
After each kid went it was finally your turn, you were dreading it. You went up and the boggart looked at you. Instead of turning into a snake like you thought, it was the dog, staring at you snarling and drool dripping down its mouth. It looked rabid, never like you seen it. It walked closer to you.
" r-riddikulus" you stuttered walking back
"Come on y/n get rid of it" Draco whispered silently cheering you on.
"R-r-ridikulus" you stuttered again but this time the dog bit towards you and you fell back on your bum.
You shielded your eyes as the dog went to attack you scared it would hurt you but instead...
"RIDDIKULUS" draco stood in front of you and pointed his wand at the boggart turning it into a wee little puppy that could barely bark.
He turned to you and held a hand out to help you up. You grabbed it and got off of the floor. Still a little shooken up you thanked Draco.
"No wonder you needed this class" he giggled and tapped your shoulder back.
You rolled your eyes and laughed at him teasing you.
" okay! Okay! Class dismissed early, except for you miss skyes" Lupin called out.
" thanks again malfoy" you said as he walked out.
"Just remember you owe me skyes" he winked.
You smiled at him and quickly turned back to Lupin.
" you don't cross me as a person who's afraid of dogs" he crossed his arms. "Why is it that your boggart turned into a dog?" He leaned his head down.
"Well , professor, lots of people are scared of dogs I might be one of them"you said sarcastically. He laughed at your remark.
" you are just like your-" he stopped himself
