The day was filled with people being asked to the ball and people crying out of rejection. George hadn't asked you yet so, it was you Harry and Ron left without dates. Ron kept saying George would ask you but you kept shrugging it off.

"I don't think he has to ask me, I mean we're dating we have to go together right?" You asked.

"I mean- yeah" Harry shrugged.

You were all sitting around in the grass talking as you awaited class. The smell of fresh air and the river filled your lungs. It was cloudy but not horribly cloudy. The three of you went on about rubbish until it was time to get to class. You sat away from the twins to get focus on your school work. Snape was ready to hand out a detention at any time. You could hear Ron whispering.

"Well who are you going with?" He asked.
Soon enough, George threw a paper hitting Angelina who was a seat away from you, still looking at Ron, gesturing if she would go to the ball, as soon as he pointed at himself his eyes widened at who he just asked. Angelina in a fit of happiness said yes. You slowly turned around and faced your book, you quickly closed it and started to leave. Annoyed with George. Fred seen as his twin Rubbed his head upset at himself. Fred took a leap of faith standing up in front of everyone on top of the bench.

"Y/n skyes, dear, will you make me the happiest wizard on earth and accompany me to the ball?" He smiled giving you a quick wink.

You turned towards him and his hand was out for you to accompany him on the bench. George's face had devastation written all over it. You shook it off and stood across from Fred on the bench.

"I would love to kind sir" you grabbed his hand and laughed.

You got down grabbing your books and turning them in as snape pulled Fred down by his ear. George rolled his eyes resting his head on the table before banging it repeatedly as his twin brother was dragged to his seat.

"Watch where you aim you bloody twat" Ron whispered at George.

George quickly got up and left the hall. He was going to chase after y/n but stopped himself knowing she'd be upset with him. He watched as she turned the corner. At least she'd be accompanied by his brother.

As you walked down the corridor you shook your head and gritted your teeth. Yes, you were going with your best friend but not your boyfriend. You knew it was a mistake but a horrible one. You quickly made your way up to the common room that was void of any students and up to your room. Frustrated you let out a scream.

"Woah, wrong time?" You heard a laugh.

"Ced" you smiled.

"What's wrong?" He asked sitting on your bed.

"George meant to ask me to the ball and well he asked Angelina accidentally, and it's okay because I'll be going with Fred which is good because I trust Fred but I would much rather go with George maybe I could switch them out Angelina wouldn't notice I mean he's my boyfriend he should go with me, how did you get in here?" You rambled at an astonished Cedric.

"I know the password and you're not going to the ball with George?" Cedric asked.

"No" you simply replied "I'll be with Fred, who are you going with?"

"Cho" he stated.

"Was that a bad thing or?" You dragged out.

"No it's good I just. I think, well I mean i-" ced stuttered

"Spit it out!" You laughed.

"You know how we're learning about Amorentia?" He eased leading you to sit on the bed.

"Yes.." you raised an Eyebrow.

"I didn't smell cho" he admitted.

"So she's not your soulmate, oh well!" You threw your hands up.

"I have an idea who is" Cedric fidgeted.

"Spill" you leaned in. "What did you smell?"

"A treacle tart, some flowers, and well a fresh wooden broomstick.." he said.

"Broomstick. Well the only person I know who fits that is" your eyes widened at your brother who looked at you with fear.

You gave him an accepting hug and laughed.

"You're in love with Harry Potter!" You laughed.

"Shhhh!" He shushed. "We've seen each other a lot more since the tournament and we just click, it's weird." He shrugged.

"There's more" you laughed. "I could tell by your shaky voice"

"Well.." he longed "we kissed, we were in the library and it just happened and I liked it" he smiled.

"My adopted brother... And my god brother" you thought.

"Do not ruin this for me.." Cedric scolded.

You both laughed leaning on to each other.

"So are you gay?" You asked genuinely.

"Not sure yet, I just, I know Harry feels like home" smiled Cedric.

For the first time in forever you seen a glow on Cedrics face, you knew that this made Cedric himself and you loved it.
