You both were having a lot of fun, teasing each other, talking about each other's hobbies, when suddenly, someone rang the doorbell.
"Aah... It must be them." Taehyung said while getting up.
"Who?"
"Of course, the members." He said.
"What? You didn't tell me this." You said while panicking. You weren't ready to meet the members. It was too sudden.
He chuckled and asked, "So you could have applied more make-up to look better?"
"No, I mean... I'm not prepared to meet them, at least for now. I mean, you seven boys and me, just a single girl. Besides, it's your birthday and now that they are here, you all should get some privacy. If I'll be around you guys, the others might feel a bit uncomfortable." You explained and Taehyung shook his head.
"You're not going anywhere! It will be alright I promise. Besides, you know their nature, once they talk to you for a while, they'll be carefree and open around you."
You sighed and looked away.
Taehyung started to open the door and you sat on the sofa, biting on to your nails. You begin to think of various ways of running away from the situation. Maybe you can tell them you are on your periods and can run away after that. No, it would be awkward if you talk about this in front of everyone so casually. Besides, when it comes to acting, you are really bad in that. Maybe you can actually makeup some official work. No! Taehyung is too smart to see through your lies.
Taehyung opened the door and you saw Jin and Jungkook with the other members behind them. You immediately begin to slide down on the sofa, trying to hide as smoothly as possible.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAEHYUNG!"
All the members shouted cheerfully and then they had a group hug. Taehyung closed the door and said, " Alright! It's gonna be fun at the dinner tonight."
"Yes!!!!!" The other members shouted and then, they looked at you, basically lying on the sofa in an awkward position, as if you were drunk. You immediately sat straight while Taehyung glared at you.
You greeted them with a nervous smile and they greeted you back. Awkwardness filling the room. "Ah... as you all can see, she is a girl with two legs , two hands and-"
"Cut it Taehyung! We can already see that. What's her name and who is she?" Yoongi asked as he looked at you, his eyes were soft.
Taehyung smiled sheepishly and said, "Well, she is Y/N and she is my best friend since 4 months and a good friend since 5 months."
"Wow! What a nice description!!" You muttered under your breath and smiled at the members.
All of them became shocked, though still, they looked at you and smiled.
"So, you didn't even think to tell us about this?" Jimin asked Taehyung.
"Umm.. I thought but... I thought it has nothing to do with you guys."
"What?!" The members shouted in unison at Taehyung and both you and him flinched a little. Not that you were scared, but the shouting was a little too out of the blue.
"If she's your best friend, then she has the right to know us and we too, have the right to know her. We are a family Taehyung." Hoseok said.
"Yeah and I want to know that how come she stole my best friend." Jimin said while pouting a little.
"Shut up Jimin!" Namjoon said and then he turned towards you."I am so sorry for that. He is a habit of speaking something gibberish, you see, sometimes. Please don't take it seriously."
"Ah... It's alright. He and actually you all have the right to know about me." You smiled and said.
"It's okay! Now can we eat dinner, I am hungry. We can talk about this after the dinner." Yoongi said out of nowhere. As if to support him, his stomach growled, making some funny noises.
There was a sudden silence. But you couldn't control yourself and so, you began to laugh. After you, everyone except Yoongi started to laugh.
"What?! I am just hungry!" Yoongi defended himself while sulking a little.
"Okay, I will bring the dinner. Can you please help me?" Taehyung asked and you all nodded.
After sometime, you all were eating dinner. At first, no one spoke anything, until you decided to kill the silence.
"Umm.. So, I hope you all are feeling comfortable right now." You said while eating a rice cake.
"Of course we are Y/N! You are fun to be with. Now I see how you became Taehyung's best friend in such a short period of time." Hoseok chirped cheerfully and you smiled a little.
"At first, I honestly thought you were Taehyung's girlfriend." Jimin said and all the members agreed with him, except Taehyung and of course me.
Taehyung made a disgusted face and looked at me. "No way Jimin! I can never make her my girlfriend. I can barely tolerate her as my best friend."
Your mouth fell open. This man..... He seriously needed to learn some manners.
"He is right Jimin. He can barely tolerate me as his best friend. Do you know why? Because brain is too small to even understand what I speak."
"You could've at least chosen a god comeback. How come are you not even savage when you are my best friend?" Taehyung flipped his bangs with a small jerk of his head and smirked.
"Woah! You are telling me I am not savage! Remember the last time I roasted you for your panda underwear right in front of a girl you tried to flirt with her while trying to insult me." I said and I could hear some suppressed laughters. Even Yoongi was smiling widely.
Taehyung's smirk immediately disappeared and he coughed a little.
"There was no need of saying this Y/N." He spoke through his gritted teeth and I shrugged. He glared at you while you did the same.
"Okay Okay! That's enough of you both." Namjoon said and you immediately gave up the staring contest to look at Namjoon.
" Hey Y/N! Do you have any boyfriend?" Jungkook asked all of a sudden and your face dropped a little. Sudden flashbacks of your past began to come to your mind. You took a deep breath and drank a glass of water that was right in front of you. Taehyung noticed a sudden shift of your behavior and he knew something was wrong.
You sighed a little after drinking water. Your face became red and sweat started to form on your skin.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about this Y/N. I think you feel suffocated right now." Jin said and handed me a tissue to wipe my face.
"Ah... It's alright. I just remembered something which wasn't too good." You smiled a little and then continued, "Umm... About your question Jungkook, then no, I don't have a boyfriend. I mean I do want one, I want to find my true love but I think I haven't found one till now." You shrugged.
"I hope you find the love you deserve Y/N. The kind of love you always dreamt for." Jungkook said and you smiled.
"Yah!! Why is the conversation becoming so serious all of a sudden when it's supposed to be fun all the time." Jin complained.
"Yeah! I do agree with Hyung." Jimin said while everyone else nodded.
"Fine, let's play some games, shall we?" Taehyung asked and you nodded.
"I would love to play as long as it has no dare or truth sort of thing." Yoongi said and Taehyung smiled wickedly.
"I think it would surely have both the things Hyung. Let's play truth and dare!!"
After a few rounds of the game, you all started to talk about each other's hobbies, and as the conversation proceeded, you came to know how the members had such a beautiful nature, which was something much more than what you saw in those videos of them.
That night, everyone had a great time. Both you and the members felt comfortable and happy with each other. In fact, you all teased each other for various things. You were called an alien, for being an alien's best friend. Jimin was teased for his height, Hoseok was called a horse and instead of calling Namjoon by his name, you called him Porranesian parrapio.
For you, it was a start of new friendships but for your destiny, it was a start of a new story in your life, which you were about to know very soon.
