Since you had to go to the office next day, so you left Jungkook's house in the evening. You promised him that you would come to see him the next day.
In the night, during the dinner time, Namjoon came to your house. When he came, you and Vini were preparing the dinner.
"I think I should help you both too." Namjoon said.
"No. There is no need for that Namjoon. We are almost done. Why don't you both go and read your book?" Vini asked.
Just when you were about to answer, Vini's phone began to ring. She picked it up and after a few seconds of her conversing with someone on her phone, she looked at you and then Namjoon for a short period of time.
You and Namjoon looked at each other in a confused manner.
Vini disconnected the call and then looked at you,"So, aren't you going?" She asked, but this time, you could see a glint of nervousness in her eyes.
"Yah, we are going. But you seem to be nervous all of a sudden. Is everything alright?" You asked.
"N-no no, n-nothing. I am not at all nervous." She stuttered.
You immediately understood that something was wrong, she only used to stutter when she was damn nervous or scared.
"Okay, I think we will go now." Namjoon said and you nodded. Vini nodded vigorously, like a child, and waited for you both to go upstairs.
You both went up, and headed to your bedroom.
"I think there is something wrong with Vini." Namjoon said.
"Yah, I also know. I think that's all after that phone call." You said.
"Is there anyone disturbing her?" He asked.
"I don't know. She never said anything like that." You answered genuinely.
Suddenly, you both heard someone, other than Vini, most probably, he (coz it was a male's voice), was standing on the main door. You decided to go downstairs swiftly and Namjoon followed you, but only to see Vini closing the door immediately. She flinched when she saw you both.
"Was there someone bothering you here Vini?" You asked seriously.
She looked at you both and gave a nervous smile. "No, no one."
"But I guess right now we heard someone else too." Namjoon said and you nodded in agreement.
"Oh that..... Well yeah.... I mean.. There was someone here but he was probably you know... a lost traveler or someone else like that, asking me a house address.. Hehe" She smiled nervously.
You and Namjoon looked at her doubtfully.
"What?! Oh come on.. Stop staring at me like that." She said in an annoyed manner.
You pushed her aside from the door and got out of the house, but you saw no one.
"See, I told you." She said and crossed her arms.
"Okay, fine." You said.
After dinner, you read some of the chapters of the novel with Namjoon. Now, you both were standing outside, near Namjoon's car.
"Do you think there was actually no one out there? Like, it was just an illusion of hearing someone else with Vini?" You asked Namjoon.
"No, of course not. Her body language was clearly telling, she was trying to hide something." He answered.
"She never hides things from me. I hope it's not something serious." You said.
Namjoon kept a hand on your shoulder and said, "Don't worry. She will tell you soon. She might be feeling uncomfortable in telling you that thing right now. Give her some time."
You nodded you both bid each other a goodbye. Something was actually wrong with Vini, and you had to find it out now.
