The Seraphic Love

Chapter 47

For two days, you decided to control yourself and not to meet with Namjoon. Strangely enough, even Namjoon didn't try to contact you. Though being a stubborn guy, Jungkook came to meet you in the evenings, even when you asked him to stay away form you due to your flu.
Finally, the last day, Namjoon texted you and asked you to meet him in his dorm room, in the morning around 8:00 am. It was strange because Namjoon, actually no one, ever asked you to meet him/her this early in the morning (at least it was early for you.)

So here you were, in front of his dorm room, waiting for him to open the door. You were pretty sure that finally today, he was going to propose you , maybe this is the reason he called you early in the morning, and that too in his dorm room. However, something in you warned that things are not going to be fine at all. But you just brushed the negative feelings off and waited for him.

He opened the door and showed you his dimples.

"Morning Namjoon."

"Morning." You entered in his room and he closed the door.

You sat on a chair while he sat beside you.

"You might be wondering why I called you so early in the morning, right?" He asked while sitting on a chair in front of you.

"Umm... Yah, kind of." You shrugged and replied.

"Well..... I wanted to talk about something really important, you know."

You nodded and said,"Okay, I am listening."

There was a brief silence when Namjoon finally spoke, "What do you think about me? I mean, let's get to the point, what do you think about Jungkook and me?"

You suddenly looked at him while squinting you eyes in confusion."I can't understand what you are exactly trying to talk about Namjoon."

He sighed and then said, "Look, you know, Jungkook is such a great guy. He is really a sweet child, a little bit shy, pretends to be tough but is really sensitive.He is actually very shy around girls." He chuckled a bit while saying the last sentence.

"Umm.. Yeah, you are right." You said, still not clear what he was trying to say.

"But you know, you are different, you are actually very different. I see that Jungkook doesn't feel shy at all when he is around you, the way he looks at you, the way he smiles when he is around you, I haven't ever seen him getting this comfortable around any girl. I think.... He loves you."

"I know this Namjoon. But will you please specify exactly what do you want to say." You said while getting impatient.

"What I am trying to say is that you should date him, that he is a good guy, and that you are very lucky."

You couldn't believe what you just heard. Was it really true? Is Namjoon saying this? The man who kissed you and confessed that he loves you a lot barely a few days ago.

"And you are saying this?You love me too, isn't it?" You asked.

He immediately looked at you, kinda surprised that you know he loves you.
"No, I don't love you." He lied while looking away.

"Oh, that is why you couldn't control your emotions and kissed me while I was sleeping, and told Vini and Tae that you love me and all and all."

"You weren't asleep then?" He asked.

"No, I wasn't."
Namjoon sighed and then lied again,"It was just an affection. Nothing else."

You gasped and then said," Can you say this while looking in my eyes Namjoon?"

A tear was about to escape Namjoon's eyes, but he quickly blinked his eyes.
He then looked at you and then said,"I do not love you. It was just an affection.
You couldn't believe it.

"Namjoon, I love you, trust me. I cannot love Jungkook. I just think of him as my good friend. I know you love me too Namjoon, and I know you are doing this for Jungkook."

Namjoon knew that your each and every word was correct. Somewhere, a part of him was screaming with joy that you also loved him. But then, he had to sacrifice his love, you, for Jungkook's happiness. He wanted to hug you and tell you that you are right, that he loved you. But then, he remembered how happy Jungkook was when he met you.

"I do not even like you. You are just my friend. Jungkook is the one for you. You shouldn't love me you know. And now, would you please leave, coz Tae and Jimin would be here by any moment. You see, I have to do some work with them."

You immediately got up and said,"Namjoon, is this really you? Please tell me."

He also got up and then looked at you with an unreadable expression,"Yes, this is me. Got it?"

You felt like you were nothing. You suddenly felt a mix of emotions rushing inside you. You wanted to cry, fight with him for treating you like this. All of this was reminding you of your past, the way your ex boyfriend insulted you.
But now was not the time to break down, at least not in front of him.

"Okay then Mr. Kim Namjoon, it was nice to meet you. Hope you have a good day then." You said and immediately got out of his room.

Namjoon knew you were pissed. He even started to cry after you got out of his room. But he knew this was the only way he could see both you and Jungkook happy. He knew it would take time for you, but soon, you will love Jungkook.

While you were getting out through the main entrance of the dorms, you noticed Jimin and Tae coming. They both looked at you and smiled. You also smiled but didn't stop to meet them, and rushed to your car. Tears were now flowing down your eyes.

Both Jimin and Tae looked at each other. They knew something was damn off with you.
