Chapter 5

After coming back, you decided to take a shower. You couldn't help but think about Namjoon. Even though you kept telling yourself that it was nothing but a mere conversation, which might have a little bit of attraction, you still knew in some corner of your heart that this might be something more than an attraction.

As you came out of the shower, you decided to distract yourself. You changed into some comfortable clothes and decided to read the book, which seemed to be a good option right now. You sat on a chair and started to read it and guess what?! The book was interesting enough to make you feel lost in another world.

In the evening, around 4:45pm, you kept the book down. Your eyes were really tired and you needed a break. So, you took your phone and went to the balcony. Evening breeze hit you softly and you closed your eyes for a while. You looked at the sky, which was covered by clouds. The sun peeking at a few intervals, through the clouds.

You thought to tell Taehyung about your one week holiday and so you dialled his number. After just three rings, he picked up your call.

"Hey! How are you?" He asked.

"I am fine. You know that I have a holiday for one week?" You asked him immediately.

"Ah really?! I wonder how come your boss gave you a holiday, and that too, for one week." He said in a surprised tone.

"Yeah, even I was shocked."

"But I think it's great. We have got a whole week for full enjoyment." He said enthusiastically.

"Yes, I do agree with you. By the way, any plans for new year?" You asked.

"No, not till now. Just some rehearsals here and there. What about you?"

"Well, nothing special, I mean, not really. I just plan to read my book I just bought today. I was reading it for the whole day."

Immediately after talking about the book, you got a thought of Namjoon.

"Hey, can I get Namjoon's phone number?" You asked suddenly, without even knowing the reason.

"Umm.. Okay! But why do you need it? Is everything alright?" He asked.

"Oh! Of course yes, I just wanted to talk about this book with him." You answered. At least you came up with this reason, though you also didn't know why you were asking for his number.

" Aah.. I wonder what's so special about this book." He said, sounding kind of frustrated.

"What do you mean by what is so special about this book?!! Every book is special and-"

"Not again Y/N! I don't like reading books and you know that very well. Besides, I don't know why you guys are so crazy about this book."

"Wait! What do you mean by you guys?" You interrupted Taehyung.

"I mean you and Namjoon hyung. I know you guys met today in the book shop and that you both bought the same books. You see, a few moments ago, Namjoon hyung called me up and asked for your number. He gave me the same reason for asking your number." He said.

You were left shocked and speechless. Namjoon asked for your number and gave the same reason!! You shook your head a little, this might be a coincidence right? He might be actually interested in discussing about what he had read.

"Umm.. You see, we both like the same book, so.." You somehow managed to speak.

"Hmm.. I get your reasons. Similar interests creates a good bonding. Anyways, I will give you the number a few moments later. Tannie wants to play with me." He said.

"Oh! Alright! Please don't irritate him." You told him, even though you already somehow knew his reply

"I never do so. I am a good boy and you very well know that. Okay, bye."

"Bye." You said disconnected the phone call.

You were still thinking about Namjoon, trying to figure out various possibilities about why he asked for your number. It wasn't a big deal if someone who is your friend asked for your number, but why did this cause butterflies in your stomach.

But then, you thought about the strange connection. You wondered whether this thing was true or not. Whatever it was, one thing was clear, your future was holding something for you, which was nearing to you, step by step.
