Chapter 9

ROR made their way to the second event as it began like five minutes later. The rules were explained to them as they all began.

(Y/N) stood with Brock and Claire as they watched from above.

"You know what to do, Boggs." Johnny whispered as Randy nodded and went invisible as the other slowly made their way to the side. Randy managed to make it up the statue without making a sound and now had to get the flag. He crawled onto the arm and grabbed the statue before ending up slipping off with a scream. "Oh, no..." Johnny whispered as Javier, Reggie, Chet and Chip covered their mouths. Before the Librarian could see who done it, Randy disappeared again. He hurried back and turned normal once he got to the fraternity group.

"Sorry." Randy handed Johnny the flag as they exited the building peacefully. Javier helped Randy because he noticed that he was limping slightly. Once they got out that went near the stage and sat on the large bench. "I'm okay, Javier."

"Are you sure?" He asked as the lizard nodded and relaxed on the end of the bench. Chip and Johnny were also sitting on the bench and Chet relaxed near Johnny, on the grass. Javier leaned up against the tree, waiting for the other teams to finish.

"Yes." Randy smiled and closed his eyes.

Inside of the building, PNK's managed to get their flag with no injuries or encounters with the librarian as HSS got theirs soon afterwards. Oozma Kappa were going down the long hallway covered with large tables and bookshelves as the Librarian was reading behind them.

They all followed Mike.

"We are at the halfway point of the second event." Claire began. "And things are getting interesting." Once HSS grabbed their flag she began to whisper again. "Only two teams left. Who will make it out with their flag, and who will be eliminated?"

"In a real scare, you do not want to get caught by a kid's parent. And in this event, you do not want to get caught by the librarian." Brock brought a monster close and whispered it with excitement. The librarian then shushed putting her finger near her lips.

"Quiet." She warned as she began to read again.

"What's so scary about a little old librarian?" Terri scoffed, but a few seconds after a monster got out of his seat as it creaks and he gasped silently. She slammed her book shut, rose to her full height and grabbed the small, blue monster with one of her tentacles and brought him close to her.

"I said, 'Quiet'." She then swiftly moved her tentacle to the open roof, window and flung him out as he hit a tree and landed in the very shallow river. Luckily, he didn't get any major wounds. The Librarian then went to check some books, bringing her glasses with her so she can see.

Terri whimpered and hugged Terry tightly as they all seemed more nervous now. Mike began to walk again as the floor board creaked very quietly and moved to a different spot that was silent.

"Faster." Sulley whisper yelled.

"Slow and steady." Mike turned around to everyone as they all repeated one after another. Starting the Art, then Don, then Terri and Terry, then Squishy, and finally Sulley.  He grunts in annoyance and just followed slowly. He noticed EEKS walking up the stairs as he knew that the team would lose if they didn't hurry up the pace. He tried to lightly run over to the ladder as the final floor board creaked loudly as the librarian looked. She couldn't see or tell who it was so she continued with looking at the books. Sullivan then climbed up the ladder quickly and tried his best to grab the team's flag. The ladder unclipped from where it was leaning against, Sulley almost lpst balance and continued to try and grab the flag. The other side unclipped and Sulley fell to the floor with the ladder to fall on top of him, resulting a loud bang.

The librarian growled, and went to get Sullivan. (Y/N) tried her best to hold in laughs as what happened was soo silly, and wasn't expecting the ladder to fall.

"No!" Mike whispered yelled as they all heard popping noise. The librarian stopped and looked to find Don on the floor using his tentacle arms to pop against the floor. She then went to get Don.

"Five, six, seven, eight!" Terri yelled as him and Terry began to dance and scatting. "Look over here!" They both now yelled. The librarian went to get them both instead as she was distracted by Art kicking things, throwing things, and laughing.

"Is that legal?" A fluffy blue monster asked next to the male announcer.

"You better believe it, mop top! The only rule is don't get caught." Brock replied as Art was rolling around, dodging all of the librarian's tentacles.

EEK formed a line as one climbed over them to get their flag. The librarian chased Sullivan again as Terri and Terry yelled.

"Over here!" The librarian went to chase them as her tentacle knocked EEK's to the floor causing their chance to get the flag failed. "Come and get me! Come and get me!" They all ran together, away from the flag and the huge monster.

"Guys! What are you doing!?" Mike yelled as they all ran towards him.

"They said don't let her catch you!" Terry started.

"But they didn't say how!" Terri finished. Terry and Don grabbed Mike as he faced the librarian and screamed as she growled loudly.

They all jumped out of the door as the teams and the crowd watched as they rolled to the river and came to a stop, causing the librarian to stop following them because she was too big.

"We did it!" Art yelled happily.

"No, we didn't! We forgot the flag!" Mike stood up and yelled, slightly worried and annoyed.

"Mike?" Squishy asked, causing the green monster to gasp. He turned around as Squishy revealed their team flag.

"Way to go, Squishy!" Don and Art yelled together.

"How?" Mike spoke in surprise.

"Misdirection." Terri leaned foreard and smiled.

Suddenly, the EEKS were flinged out of the roof, smashed into the tree, and fell in to the river as the crowd cheered.

"The EEKS have been eliminated, and Oozma Kappa lives to scare another day!" Brock announced as (Y/N) smiled at them, as Mike looked at her and smiled back slightly as she flew over to the ROR's. The one-eyed, green monster turned to his team as they were chanting 'We're OK'. Sulley wasn't involved in their little celebration party.

Claire removed the EEKS wooden banner and chucked it off the small stage. Hardscrabble looked at the 'hopeless' team in very little surprise.

"Well done, guys!" (Y/N) hugged Johnny as the rest of the team looked at Randy with a smile on their faces.

"Boggs was the one who did everything. You should be giving all of the credit to him really." Johnny told her as Randy blushed nervously and chuckled.

"T-Thanks."

"Yeah, but without you guys, he wouldn't know what to do in the first place, so you all should be congratuated." She explained as they nodded and headed back to their fraternity house for the night, but had a very evil plan going on that (Y/N) didn't know about at all.
