THE NEXT MORNING
Y/N'S POV:
I wake up with my fingers intertwined with Lauren's. My arms are loosely wrapped around her and I smile as I watch her peacefully sleep.
I move one of my hands to her back and gently rub it to wake her up. She groans softly and turns her body to face me. I think she's going to wake up, but instead she just cuddles herself into my chest.
"Well, that didn't work. I guess I'll let you sleep, babe. But only cause you're so cute." I whisper.
I lay my head down and let myself drift back to sleep, holding her in my arms.
"Babe?" I don't respond, thinking it was part of my dream.
"Y/N?" I feel two hands grab my face lightly, which makes me groan.
The hands start gently shaking my face and I can hear someone above me.
"Y/NNNNNNNNN!" Lauren says while getting increasingly louder. "WAKE UUUUP, I'M BORED!"
She's now straddling me and shaking my face too hard for comfort. I open my eyes and move her off of me. I'm greeted by her smiling face and her lips kissing my cheek.
"Goodmorning." Lauren whispers.
"So I let you sleep in and you shake my face until I wake up? How is that fair?" I frown and Lauren grabs my hand.
"It's fair because um.....hold on, let me think of a reason."
"Uh huh, that's what I thought." I chuckle as she leads me out of bed and towards the kitchen.
We walk downstairs and we're greeted by Dani, who smiles at me and flashes the loser sign at Lauren. She rolls her eyes and brings me to the table, where Amy and Lisa are eating breakfast.
"Hey, Christina, why aren't you eating with us?" Lauren says as she sees Christina on the couch, eyes glued to the TV.
"She's watching the news. There's gonna be a power outage expected tonight." Lisa mumbles with cereal in her mouth.
"What, why?"
"The rain storm. It started yesterday and they say it might last the rest of the week." Amy frowns.
"Well, maybe we can have a game night, like we did when I first came to your house." Everyone starts nodding their head in agreement and Lauren sighs.
"What's wrong, babe?"
"Nothing, it's just...." She trails off and looks to the ground.
"Lauren's afraid of the daaaark." Lisa sings to me.
I stifle a laugh and Lauren glares at Lisa.
"I am NOT. I just prefer for the light to be on. At all times. Always." I grab her hand and she looks me in the eyes.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you. Look at my muscles, does it look like the dark could fight back against me? I don't think so." She chuckles at my joke while I flex my non-existent muscles for her.
