Jealous

Y/N'S POV:

I quickly text the groupchat to meet at the hospital and tell them it's urgent.

"Y/N, why would you make it seem like someone died?! They're gonna get worried." Christina rolls her eyes and keeps driving.

"Ah fuck you're right." I text back and tell them that everyone is safe and I'll explain later.

I look over at Maya who is curled up into a ball in the backseat. I don't exactly know how to comfort her in this moment, but I know I just have to be there for her.

"Hey, it's gonna be alright." I internally roll my eyes at the fact that I just told someone who tried to jump off a bridge that "it's going to be alright."

She nods and wipes away her tears, but they come back within seconds. This is the first time I can really see her full body, and I'm shocked at what I see.

She has purple bags under her eyes, she looks really skinny, and I can tell she's in a lot of pain. She's been feeling this way for a while.

My heart breaks for her as we pull into the hospital parking lot. I hear the car being put in park and I open the door. I quickly make my way over to her side of the car and open it for her, helping her out of it.

"Please don't make me go." She whispers.

I look over at Christina, not knowing what to say, but she looks at a loss for words too. I can see tears starting to form in her eyes.

"We have to, Maya. You need help." She doesn't say anything back as I guide her into the hospital.

We wait in the lobby for about 20 minutes, when Lisa comes through the door.

"WHAT'S WRONG? WHO'S HURT?" She looks around anxiously and sighs in relief when she sees us both, uninjured.

I don't want Maya to feel awkward, so I bring all the Cimorelli girls into a corner and explain what happened. They all look at me in disbelief, and I see that Dani's crying.

"Thank God you were there. You saved her, babe." Lauren gives me a hug and squeezes me tightly.

Finally, the doctor comes and escorts us into a room. We all file in but he quickly stops us.

"Only 3 to a room at a time, please." We all nod and Christina and I are the only ones that stay with Maya.

The doctor asks what happened and I explain to him the story in full. He nods and tells us about patient treatment and things like that.

"So I assume you're Maya's mother?" He points his head towards Christina and I can't help but laugh.

"MOTHER? HOW OLD DO YOU THINK I AM?" I sit in the corner trying to cover up my laughing while the doctor apologizes to Christina.

"Well, we need her legal guardian to sign on this treatment." We look over at Maya and she violently shakes her head.

"No, please don't tell my parents. They won't care. They were the ones that told me to do it." The room goes silent as the doctor solemnly nods and leaves the room.

I try to comfort Maya to the best of my abilities but a nurse comes in and tells us visiting hours are over. She looks scared for us to leave but I hug her and tell her it'll be ok.

Christina and I walk towards the lobby and the sisters all stand up when they see us. We tell them what happened and all file into the two cars we brought.

The car ride home was silent, with Lauren holding my hand the whole time.

The next couple days were filled with constantly going back and forth from the hospital, checking on Maya every chance I get.

I get up early and grab my jacket to head to the hospital, when I feel a finger tap my shoulder.

"Are you going to the hospital again?" Lauren sighed and looked in my eyes.

"Yeah, I was about to."

"I just wanted to make sure that you know you're not responsible for her. This whole thing doesn't only fall on you." She looks to the ground after saying this and I sigh.

"I know. I want to be there for her." I start to walk out the door, slightly annoyed at Lauren trying to stop me. I need to help this girl.

"Just don't wear yourself out." She calls out as I shut the door.

LAUREN'S POV:

Y/N practically shuts the door in my face. I didn't mean to annoy her, I just wanted to stop her from overworking herself. She tends to do that when she's passionate about someone. Something. I meant something, not someone.

Am I really getting jea-

"Hey, Laur, whatcha doin?" My thoughts are cut short my Dani walking into the room.

"What, nothing." She eyes me up and down suspiciously.

"Are you....ok?"

"I'm fine why would you even ask that, do I not look ok? I am totally ok." I stomp up the stairs so she can't ask any more questions and shut my door.

Am I seriously getting jealous over this girl? Of course I'm not. There's no reason to be jealous. She was in danger and Y/N saved her. So Y/N has to be there for her. Simple as that.

I am not getting jealous over someone who tried to kill them selves. What would that say about me as a person? I mean....they could be trauma bonded. Maya could be madly in love with Y/N because of how beautiful she is.

And what if she starts to like Maya back because she's spending so much time with her? And she forgets all about me because I'm barely seeing her. Oh my gosh she's gonna break up with me. She doesn't love me anymore.

DANI'S POV:

Lauren's been acting weird all week. I'm gonna go check on her. Usually Y/N would do this, but she's a little busy.

I walk up the stairs and open Lauren's door. I see her curled up into a ball crying on the floor.

I quickly rush over to her and rub her back, listening to her quiet cries.

"Laur, what happened? Are you ok?" She sits up and wraps her arms around me. She rests her head on my shoulder and I hug her tightly.

"Y/N doesn't love me anymore." Lauren whispers.

"WHAT?" I break loose from the hug and look straight into her swollen eyes.

"What are you talking about? Of course she loves you." Tears fall from her eyes as I try to explain to her, but it's no use.

She tells me about her worries and I internally roll my eyes.

"Laur, you know I love you, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. She is not going to replace you with Maya. She doesn't even know Maya. She was just there when she tried to jump so she feels a little like she has to be there for her." Lauren nods and starts to wipe her tears away.

"It'll all be ok. You're worrying about nothing."

Y/N'S POV:

I pull up to the hospital and I'm a little excited to see Maya. At first, I felt obligated to go, but she's becoming my friend.

I've talked to her everyday for the past week and I really enjoy her company.

I walk up the hospital steps and make my way to her room. As soon as I enter, her head tilts towards me and her eyes light up.

She grabs my hand and squeezes it tight.

"You mean so much to me, Y/N."
