"Trick Locks"

when the three finally got their, from the distance they were ate, they were all close enough to see that the inner temple didn't cave in, phoenix wasted no time running right inside 

"H-How can there be..., ..Even more locks- THAT BITCH!!"

phoenix growled when he made eye to eye contact with iris, finally, when the two prosecutors got inside, miles saw his pissed off angry expression, and quickly interjected

'..are these the trick locks that, ....godot was talking about?'

miles growled at the mention of his name, ..phoenix didn't tell him everything  godot said, ...just the information they needed

'..Yeah. The trick locks'

'Now then, Iris. Please remove these at once.'

he requested strictly, iris frowned as she looked down to the rocky ground

'Umm... Mr. Edgeworth... I'm afraid I can't... It-It's not possible for me...'

'what?!'

miles said, his eyes widening

'..i-i can't undo the new locks'

iris added, looking down with much sorrow in her eyes, miles gritted his teeth as he angrily thought at himself

'go outside and get some air, your looking pale and your shaking'

phoenix gently ordered, miles however, shook his head stubbornly

'Don't be ridiculous! I'm perfectly fine-'

'your not gonna win against me miles, ..go get a breather'

miles gripped his arm, ...he was losing it, ..he quickly took a breathe as he felt himself slipping out of control

'i-I'll handle the investigation in the garden... You take care of things here'

and with that, he walked off, phoenix frowned at him, ..very worried, ...he knew miles, ..he knew he had to much pride and high standards for himself, ...he would be probably be having a panic attack in the garden, ..he'll meet up with him later, ..right now, he had to deal with a certain secretive little girl

'Phoenix Wright. I'm going to stay here and see if I can't help solve these bothersome puzzles'

franziska said, determined to help out however she could, phoenix nodded at her gratefully, ..he trusted her, she would do whatever it took to unlock that's locks, she was just as stubborn as him

'iris, ...Do you mind if I ask you a few things'

iris shook her head as she replied very polity

he demanded

'I... I'm sorry. I heard the Inner Temple had been severely shaken by the strong earthquake we had. I... I was so worried. I just had to come and see, I can't tell you how relieved I was when I saw the Sacred Cavern was alright, but...'

she suddenly trailed off, phoenix gave her a moment to think before she spoke

'Then I saw these chains here. I saw all these extra locks that someone had put on the Sacred Cavern's door, and...-Who in the world would've done something like this?'

she muttered the last part to herself mostly, phoenix sighed as he pointed at the trick locks for more of an explanation on them

'These trick locks are a sacred treasure of the Kurain Tradition. There are hundreds of ways to set them. That's why only the person who set the lock can open it'

'And you aren't the one who set these locks?'

franziska asked, phoenix however, doubted this

'nope that simple prodigy,  When we were here the first time, there was only one lock there's fucking five of them, someone wanted to secure the place even more, And they wanted to secure it before you got here'

he said, looking right at iris as he went on with his reasoning

'presumingly because they wanted to make sure Maya couldn't get out, This means that Iris here can only open The first one'

iris looked off to the ground before she awnsered

'... Yes... That's correct.'

franziska's eyes widen as phoenix looked at iris right into her eyes

'listen!!, when i comes to my little sister!!, i'm not fucking around!!, so Isn't there any way around this?!!'

he asked her, iris had to think for a moment before she spoke

'... Well, like I said, there are hundreds of different ways to set these locks. I suppose if I went through every combination with each one, I could remove them. But...About a day, if I had to guess'

she offered, phoenix gritted his teeth in worry, ...a whole day?!, ..she's already been in here for who knows how long!!, ..but at the same time, ..what other option was their?!

'Well, that's better than leaving the locks in place. Will you do this for us?'

franziska asked, she nodded without any hesitation

phoenix thought to himself, clutching his locket, then stared back down at iris as he asked her the big question

'iris,  on the night of the murder, where were you?'

iris looked up at him surprised, but phoenix wasn't buying it

'those eyes won't work on me iris, You told us that you were in your room at Hazakura Temple at the time of the incident. But you were seen that same evening at the Inner Temple. And then, you were spotted at the scene of the crime in Hazakura Temple, too, so, what's the truth?!!'

he demanded, he wasn't surprised to see three locks around her, ...he sighed, rubbing his forehead
