'I saw the murder at around 11 PM..., And after asking that it be reported, I went out to the Main Gate, And there... I saw tracks! Tracks that indicated the snowmobile had been used!, It takes 15 minutes to walk to Dusky Bridge, but less than 5 using one of those!, Maybe they threw the weapon into Eagle River and came back while I was knocked out?, ...Iris could have done that. She can drive a snowmobile after all...'
'Hmmmmmm... Witness. Please, tell us everything you know right away next time'
the judge asked of her, bikini frowned as she reminded of him
'Well. I'm not in the best of shape. What with my back and my age, you know'
franziska huffed as she spoke loudly and assertively
'Quite... There were indeed snowmobile tracks in front of the Main Gate. Here is a photograph'
she said as she presented the photo to the court, the judge squinted his eyes at it, examining it closely as he spoke his thoughts out loud for the court to hear
'A snowmobile, eh... I see. Well, it certainly is an interesting theory...'
she smirked as she pointed out
'The tracks begin in front of Hazakura Temple... ...and run all the way to Dusky Bridge!...That solves your pesky little problem, yes? The Eagle River's current is quite swift, meaning that it doesn't freeze over in winter. Making it the perfect place to dispose of the murder weapon!'
miles frowned to himself as he went into deep thought, ..damnit, ..this made iris look very bad
"Did she really go to the river to dispose of the murder weapon...?"
the judge banged down his gavel, bring miles back from his mind, back into the courthouse
'Mr. Edgeworth! ...Your cross-examination, please.'
miles nodded as he stared down at his notes once again, ...the first couple weren't an issue, ..but the last two, ..that's were he found it, he held back a smirk as he Affirmed very strongly
'I admit this photograph proves something. It proves that the snowmobile was used on the night of the murder.'
franziska smirked as she claimed her victory too early
'you've finally accepted the inevitable, it seems... Miles Edgeworth-'
'However... If what the witness says is true, why is there only one set of tracks?'
he pointed out the contradiction, franziska stopped in her victory smirk as she asked him
'What do you mean...?'
she was very warry now, and she was right to be
'iris left Hazakura Temple, threw the weapon into the river, and then returned. If this was the case, then naturally there should be two sets of tracks in the snow! Those from heading out to the bridge, and those from coming back.'
bikini blinked as she realized how right miles was
'.. Ah...! You're right!'
franziska however, wasn't letting up
'Hmph... You are forgetting one thing, Miles Edgeworth.'
he stayed silent as he waited for her awnser
'On the night of the murder, it was snowing. The tracks leading to the bridge were erased by the snowfall. This removes your precious contradiction, now doesn't it!'
